Bill Monaghan
Bill Monaghan (born 28 August 1968) is the current coach of the East Fremantle Football Club and a former player for the Subiaco Lions and Peel Thunder. He previously coached West Perth from 2009 until 2018. He played 204 games for Subiaco and Peel, captained Peel, and represented Western Australia at fullback. He coached the Lions reserves to premierships in 2003 and 2005, and was an assistant coach under Peter German during the Lions' 2004 and 2006 premierships. When German stepped down in 2006, both German and most senior players favoured Monaghan to take over as senior coach, but the club board instead chose Scott Watters. In 2007 and 2008, Monaghan joined the Fremantle Football Club in a development role. He was appointed senior coach of West Perth for 2009, taking the team to the finals in his first year. Subiaco Football Club
The Subiaco Football Club, nicknamed the Lions and known before 1973 as the ''Maroons'', is an Australian rules football club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). It was founded in 1896, and admitted to the WAFL in 1901, along with North Fremantle. The club is currently based at Leederville Oval, having previously played at Subiaco Oval. History Subiaco was incorporated in 1896, establishing its base at a small playing arena within the environs of the Shenton Park Lake. During the club's embryonic period it played in the "First Rate Juniors" competition from 1896 to 1900 and enjoyed premiership success. The Fremantle Football Club, nicknamed the Dockers, is a professional Australian rules football club competing in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's elite competition. The Peel Thunder Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The team is based in Mandurah, Western Australia, with their home ground being Rushton Park. The club joined the WAFL as an expansion team in 1997. Since 2014 Peel have been in a formal alignment with the Fremantle Dockers of the Australian Football League, an arrangement which sees Fremantle's reserve players play for Peel. Scott Watters
Scott Watters (born 25 January 1969) is a former Australian rules football player and coach. As a player, he was drafted from the South Fremantle Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) to the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL) in 1988. He later played for the Sydney Swans and Fremantle. He was a member of the 1985 Teal Cup winning side, the first year that Western Australia had won the national championships. As a coach, he started his career in 2006 with WAFL team Subiaco, followed by a stint as an assistant coach with the Collingwood Football Club from 2010 to 2011. Peter German
Peter German (born 2 February 1965) is a former Australian rules footballer. Since retiring he has become a successful coach. German coached Subiaco to the 2004 and 2006 WAFL premierships and was rewarded by being named as an assistant to Chris Connolly at Fremantle. Peter has coached second-tier Australian rules in three different states and been involved with five different Australian rules football clubs in a coaching and player capacity. Peter played 185 games for 201 goals for North Melbourne in the AFL. Used primarily as a midfielder over a 10 year career with one club. His first coaching assignment was with Burnie in 1995 before he moved into the AFL. He was an assistant coach at Hawthorn and West Coast.
