The 2012 Swedish Golf Tour, titled as the 2012 Nordea Tour for sponsorship reasons, was the 29th season of the Swedish Golf Tour, the main professional golf tour in Sweden since it was formed in 1984, with most tournaments being incorporated into the Nordic Golf League since 1999. Johan Carlsson (golfer)
Johan Gustav Carlsson (born 29 August 1986) is a Swedish former professional golfer. Carlsson turned professional in 2011. He played on the Nordea Tour and Nordic Golf League. In 2012, he finished second in the Nordic Golf League Order of Merit, to earn one of five places on the Challenge Tour in 2013. Carlsson won his first Challenge Tour event in September 2013 at the Kazakhstan Open. He finished 2013 in fifth place in the Challenge Tour standings, graduating to the European Tour for 2014. His best season on the European Tour was in 2016 when he finished 75th on the Order of Merit. His best individual performance came in 2017 when he finished third in the Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play. He retired from professional golf in 2020. Kristoffer Broberg
Kristoffer Per Thomas Broberg (born 1 August 1986) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Professional career Broberg started his professional career in 2010, winning twice on the Swedish mini tour. The following two years he won four events on the Nordic Golf League. He qualified to play on the Challenge Tour in 2012. He won the second event he played in, the Finnish Challenge on 5 August. He won again the next week at the Norwegian Challenge. Broberg won for a third time that month at the Rolex Trophy to earn an instant promotion to the European Tour; he was the fastest player ever to achieve this having played just five events in the season. The victories helped Broberg shoot up the Official World Golf Ranking from 1,109th to 173rd, and he ended the year ranked 79th after finishing runner-up at the Alfred Dunhill Championship. 2012 Finnish Tour
The Finnish Tour is a developmental professional golf tour based in Finland. In the past, similar to the Danish Golf Tour and the Swedish Golf Tour, most events on the Finnish Tour schedules were incorporated into the Nordic Golf League, one of the four third-tier tours recognized by the European Tour. However, most tournaments are now independent Finnish Tour events. Many players from the Finnish Tour have progressed through the tour, eventually playing and winning on the European Tour. Similar to the Swedish Golf Tour, most events on the Danish Golf Tour schedule are incorporated into the Nordic Golf League, one of the four third-tier tours recognized by the European Tour. History The tour was founded in 2002 as a joint venture by Dan Stage and the PGA of Denmark. The aim of the tour being to provide a new generation of golfers with optimal conditions for developing their game. The Swedish Golf Tour Final, currently titled as The No. 1 Tour Final in Golf, is a golf tournament played as the season-ending championship of the Swedish Golf Tour. The Tour Final was introduced in the 2005 season, succeeding the Telia Grand Prix, a Challenge Tour event that had served as the season ending event for most years since 1996. David James Palm (born 7 July 1958) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Richmond in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1980s. Jacob Glennemo (born 25 May 1987) is a Swedish professional golfer who played on the Challenge Tour between 2013 and 2020. He won the 2014 Nordic Golf League Order of Merit. The Swedish Match Play Championship is a golf tournament played since 1904, held for both men and women. It is the oldest and most traditional golf tournament in Sweden. The name SM is shortening in Swedish language for "Svenska Mästerskapet" (the Swedish Championship).
