2012 OEC Kaohsiung
The 2012 OEC Kaohsiung was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the first edition of the tournament which was part of the 2012 ATP Challenger Tour. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Rik De Voest
Rik de Voest (born 5 June 1980) is a former professional South African tennis player. He achieved his career-high singles ranking of world No. 110 in August 2006. Rik resides in Vancouver, Canada where he pursues a career in real estate. De Voest qualified for the 2007 Wimbledon Championships where he lost to Marat Safin in the first round. He also qualified for the US Open later on in 2007, where he defeated Thierry Ascione 6–2, 3–0 before Ascione retired. De Voest went on to lose to John Isner in the following round. is a Japanese tennis player playing on the ATP Challenger Tour. He achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 78 on 04 November 2019 and doubles ranking of No. 102 on 20 August 2018. Daniel King-Turner
Daniel King-Turner (born 15 May 1984) is a former professional tennis player from New Zealand. In total, he won eight Futures singles titles as well as two Challenger doubles titles and 10 Futures doubles titles. He also made the semi-finals of two Challenger events, Pozoblanco in 2010 and Binghamton in 2012. Mirza Bašić
Mirza Bašić (; born 12 July 1991) is a Bosnian professional tennis player. He has won one ATP singles title and is a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Davis Cup team. Bašić reached his first Grand Slam tournament after qualifying for the 2016 Australian Open. James Ward (tennis)
James Ward (born 9 February 1987) is a British former professional tennis player. He is a Davis Cup champion and former British No. 2. He reached the quarterfinals of the 2010 Aegon International and the semifinals of the 2011 Aegon Championships as a wildcard entry. His best Grand Slam performance to date was reaching the third round of Wimbledon in 2015. In February 2009, Ward played what was then, the longest tennis match in history, lasting 6 hrs 40 mins, eventually losing to Chris Eaton. Marco Chiudinelli (born 10 September 1981) is a retired tennis player from Switzerland. A member of Switzerland's winning 2014 Davis Cup squad, he reached his highest singles ranking of 52 in February 2010 during a career that was often hindered by injury. Biography Marco grew up in Münchenstein and learned to play tennis at Basel Lawn Tennis Club.
