2012 New Brunswick Liberal Association Leadership Election
The New Brunswick Liberal Association held a leadership election on October 27, 2012 to replace outgoing leader Shawn Graham with a new leader to lead the party into the 2014 election. Graham was elected at the last leadership convention held in 2002 over Jack MacDougall. Graham announced he would not continue as leader the evening of September 27, 2010, after losing the provincial election earlier that day and formally resigned on November 9, 2010. Casino New Brunswick
Casino New Brunswick is located in the Magnetic Hill Area of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. Casino Complex On May 8, 2008, Sonco Gaming New Brunswick Limited Partnership was selected as the successful proponent for the New Brunswick Destination Casino Project. The agreement with the New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation (NBLGC) was signed on July 15, 2008, and construction of the complex was underway in October 2008 by Atlantic Canada's Marco Group at a cost of around $90-million. The complex contains a casino, hotel, entertainment center, and dining establishments. The casino opened in 2010. In May 2015, Sonco Gaming agreed to sell the casino to Great Canadian Gaming for $95 million. Roly MacIntyre
Roly MacIntyre (born December 31, 1943) is a former civil servant and politician in the province of New Brunswick, Canada. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick in 1995 and re-elected in 2003 and 2006 after having been defeated in 1999. MacIntyre was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. He was district manager for Niagara Finance and Niagara Mortgage & Loan from 1964 to 1971. MacIntyre married Phyllis Coady. In 1971, he joined the federal Unemployment Insurance Commission, moving to Saint John, New Brunswick in 1976 after he became regional manager. In 1978, he became district manager for Human Resources Development Canada. He retired in 1995. Ray Frenette
Joseph Raymond Frenette (April 16, 1935 – July 13, 2018) was a Canadian politician in New Brunswick. He was a Liberal Party of New Brunswick, Liberal representative for the riding of Moncton East in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1974 New Brunswick general election, 1974 until 1998 when he retired after a short term as the 28th premier of New Brunswick. Beauséjour (electoral District)
Beauséjour riding (formerly known as Beauséjour—Petitcodiac) is a federal electoral district in southeastern New Brunswick, Canada, which has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1988. It replaced Westmorland—Kent, which was represented from 1968 to 1988. Beauséjour is largely Acadian and Francophone, with a significant Anglophone section in the southern section of the riding. The riding consists of most of Westmorland County to the east and north of Moncton; and almost all of Kent County. Dieppe is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, Canada. It was created in 2006 as a result of large population growth in the City of Dieppe. It includes 4 of 5 wards of the city of Dieppe and a small portion of Moncton near Champlain Place shopping mall. The name of the district was briefly Dieppe Centre, but the legislature changed it to Dieppe Centre-Lewisville before an election was held in the district. Roger Melanson is a former Canadian politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick in the 2010 provincial election, and Leader of the Opposition. He represented the electoral district of Dieppe as a member of the Liberals. Kent North (french: Kent-Nord) is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, Canada. The district was established in the 1973 redistribution which saw New Brunswick move from a system of plurality-at-large voting (with multi-member ridings) to a first-past-the-post voting system (with single-member ridings).
