Bernard LeBlanc
Bernard R. LeBlanc (born 1949) is a politician in the province of New Brunswick, Canada. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick in the 2006 election as the Liberal MLA for the new district of Memramcook-Lakeville-Dieppe. He was appointed to cabinet on November 12, 2008. On February 11, 2010, LeBlanc resigned from cabinet, amid allegations that an email he sent violated the privacy rights of a Fredericton-area woman by revealing private information about her. Department Of Justice And Consumer Affairs
The Department of Justice is a part of the Government of New Brunswick. It is charged with the protection of the public interest and, as such, oversees the insurance industry, financial institutions, pensions and rental housing. The department was established on February 14, 2006 when Premier Bernard Lord restructured government under the name Department of Justice and Consumer Affairs. It was created out of necessity as Lord wanted to appoint Brad Green, the only lawyer in his caucus, as Minister of Health. In order to facilitate this the Office of the Attorney General, which Green continued to occupy as Health Minister, was severed from the Department of Justice which was in turn renamed the Department of Justice and Consumer Affairs. The Acadians (french: Acadiens , ) are an ethnic group descended from the French who settled in the New France colony of Acadia during the 17th and 18th centuries. Most Acadians live in the region of Acadia, as it is the region where the descendants of a few Acadians who escaped the Expulsion of the Acadians (aka The Great Upheaval / ''Le Grand Dérangement'') re-settled. Chris Collins (Canadian Politician)
Chris Collins (born June 23, 1962) is a former Canadian politician from Moncton, New Brunswick. He served as MLA for the riding of Moncton Centre from 2014 until 2018, having previously served part of one term as a city councillor for Moncton City Council. On October 24, 2014 Collins was elected Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick succeeding Dale Graham. Collins was defeated in the 2018 provincial election. Michael Barry Murphy (born January 25, 1958) is a New Brunswick lawyer and politician. Biography Murphy graduated from Moncton High School in 1976, from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1980 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1983. He received his Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2002. A personal injury lawyer, Murphy was president of the New Brunswick Liberal Association from 1988-1993.
