2012 Liga Premier
The 2012 Liga Premier ( en, 2012 Premier League), also known as the Astro Liga Premier for sponsorship reasons, is the ninth season of the Liga Premier, the second-tier professional football league in Malaysia.http://www.rsssf.com/tablesm/malay2012.html 2012 Liga Premier The season was held from 11 January and concluded on 23 July 2012. Liga Premier
The Malaysia Premier League ( ms, Liga Premier) was the second-tier professional football league in Malaysia. The league replaced the former second-tier league, Liga Perdana 2 in the Malaysian football league system. The Malaysia Premier League was contested by 12 clubs where the season usually ran from early February to late October, with a Ramadan break for a month depending on the Islamic calendar. Teams played 22 matches (playing each team in the league home and away), totalling 132 matches in the season. Most games were played on Fridays, with a few games played during weekdays. The league operated on a system of promotion and relegation with promotion to the Malaysia Super League and relegation to the Malaysia M3 League. Tampin
Tampin is a town in Tampin District, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, which borders Pulau Sebang town in Alor Gajah District, Malacca. History and etymology Tampin gets its name from the container or pouch weaved from the pandanus fronds. The container was used to store condiments such as the ''kelamai'' or ''dodol'' and the shrimp paste ''belacan''. The district of Tampin is also called ''Luak Tampin'' as the word ''luak'' is the local term for a district. Tampin was originally part of Luak of Rembau. After the Naning War in 1832, Raja Ali declared himself the ruler of Seri Menanti and his son-in-law, Syed Shaaban, as the ruler of Rembau. This enraged other rulers of Negeri Sembilan as they had no right to the posts. The Petaling Jaya Stadium, also known as the MBPJ Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the suburb of Kelana Jaya in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. The stadium was opened in 1996 and has a capacity of 25,000. It was built in time for the 1998 Commonwealth Games and hosted the Games' rugby union matches. The Malaysia national football team () represents Malaysia in international football and is controlled by the Football Association of Malaysia. Harimau Muda
Harimau Muda is a former Malaysia national under-22 football team. The squad is the feeder team for senior national football team. The club is managed by the Football Association of Malaysia. After winning the Premier League in 2009, the club were split into two teams, Harimau Muda A and Harimau Muda B due to schedule conflicts between league and international matches. Harimau Muda was reinstated in 2015 by combining Harimau Muda ''A'' and ''B'' back into a single U-22 team with the exception of Harimau Muda C which still plays in FAM League.
