the 2012 Kuwait Super Cup was between league champions Qadsia SC and Crown prince cup champions Al-Arabi SC. This was the first super cup to be between the kuwaiti Classico Clubs, though Al-Arabi Won and set the record of being 100% wins in the Super cup. Al-Arabi Sporting Club ( ar, النادي العربي الرياضي) is a Kuwaiti sports club club based in Mansuriya, Kuwait City. The most notable section is football team in the Kuwait Premier League. Al-Arabi SC was named ''Al-ʿUrūba'' ( ar, العُروبَة, lit=The Arabism) at the beginning of 1953, and changed to Al-Arabi SC (The Arabian) in 1960. As winners of the Kuwait Emir Cup in 2008, Al-Arabi SC was the first Kuwaiti team to compete in the AFC Cup. Al-Arabi SC has 45 official trophies next to its name (57 domestic and 2 GCC), the most of any Kuwaiti football team. Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium
Al Kuwait Kaifan Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kuwait City, Kuwait. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and hosts the home matches of Al Kuwait Kaifan. The stadium holds 12,350. This stadium had also hosted Kuwait's national team matches during the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification, which they failed to reach. The stadium hosted the final matches of the Kuwait Emir Cup and Kuwait Crown Cup for the last 5 seasons. The Kuwait Super Cup ( ar, كأس السوبر الكويتي) is an annual one-match association football competition in Kuwait organised by Kuwait Football Association (KFA). This competition serves as the season opener and is played between the Kuwaiti Premier League champions and the Kuwait Emir Cup winners of the previous season. The first game was played in 2008.
