Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium
Al Kuwait Kaifan Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kuwait City, Kuwait. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and hosts the home matches of Al Kuwait Kaifan. The stadium holds 12,350. This stadium had also hosted Kuwait's national team matches during the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification, which they failed to reach. The stadium hosted the final matches of the Kuwait Emir Cup and Kuwait Crown Cup for the last 5 seasons. This stadium also hosted matches for the Kuwait national football team, national team during the 3rd Arabian Gulf Cup, where Kuwait won their third title after winning 4–0 against Saudi Arabia national football team, Saudi Arabia. 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualification
Qualifying for the 2010 FIFA World Cup was a series of tournaments organised by the six FIFA confederations. Each confederation — the AFC (Asia), CAF (Africa), CONCACAF (North, Central America and Caribbean), CONMEBOL (South America), OFC (Oceania), and UEFA (Europe) — was allocated a certain number of the 32 places at the tournament. The 2009 AFC Cup was the sixth season of the AFC Cup and is competed among clubs from nations who are members of the Asian Football Confederation. Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium
Jaber al-Ahmad International Stadium ( ar, ملعب جابر الأحمد الدولي) is a multi-purpose stadium in the Ardhiyah area of Kuwait City, Kuwait. Completed in 2009, it is used mostly for football matches and athletics. The stadium has a capacity of 60,000 seated spectators, the building is constructed in 4 levels, with 54 corporate boxes and parking lot with a 6,000 car capacity. It was expected to open in second quarter of 2010, but the building failed structural-integrity testing and remained closed due to a miscalculation by structural engineers for nearly half a decade. However it was finally opened on 18 December 2015. Jaber Al-Ahmad stadium is currently the new home of the Kuwait national football team. AFC Cup
The AFC Cup is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Under its current rules, the competition is played primarily between clubs from nations that did not receive direct qualifying slots in the top-tier AFC Champions League, based on the AFC Club Competitions Ranking. Al-Kuwait SC and Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya are the most successful clubs in the competition's history, having won three titles each. Clubs from Kuwait have won four titles, making them the most successful nation in the competition. The Kuwait national football team ( ar, منتخب الكويت لكرة القدم) is the national team of Kuwait and is controlled by the Kuwait Football Association. Kuwait Sporting Club ( ar, نادي الكويت الرياضي) is a Kuwaiti professional football club based in Kuwait City. The football team has won Kuwaiti Premier League 17 times.
