2012 Formula Renault BARC Season
The Protyre 2012 Formula Renault BARC season was a multi-event motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars held across England. The championship featured a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers competing in 2 litre Formula Renault single seat race cars that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. The 2012 season was the 18th Formula Renault BARC Championship; the season began at Snetterton 200 on 7 April and ended on 7 October at Silverstone, after fourteen races, all held in England. Following a second-place finish in the final race at Silverstone, Scott Malvern secured the championship title after achieving three victories during the season and eleven podiums in total, driving for Cliff Dempsey Racing in the opening half of the season and Cullen Motorsport thereafter. Motorsport, motorsports or motor sport is a global term used to encompass the group of competitive sporting events which primarily involve the use of motorized vehicles. Raoul Owens
Raoul Owens (born 22 August 1994) is a London-based, British racing driver. He will compete in the VLN Endurance Championship based at the Nürburgring with Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW. Career Early years It was in the UK at the age of 8 that Raoul Owens began competing in karting. Shortly after, in 2005 with the family move to South Africa, Raoul continued his early development by joining the Western Province Motoring Club. By the following year Raoul had his first substantial milestone, winning the Mini Max Regional Championship. In 2009 he moved up to the South African Northern Region where he was able to race alongside sterner competition at circuits that included Zwartkops Raceway and Vereeniging. British Automobile Racing Club
The British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) is one of the biggest organising clubs for auto racing in the United Kingdom. History The Cyclecar Club was formed in 1912, running races for the small and light motorbike powered vehicles at Brooklands as well as rallies and sporting trials. Among the founder members of the club were H.R. Godfrey and Archie Frazer-Nash. In 1919, with cyclecars on the decline, the name of the club changed to the Junior Car Club (JCC). The club was immediately successful, with regional centres being formed in 1921, the same year the 200-Mile Race at Brooklands was organised, the first long-distance race to be run in Britain. Michael Epps
Michael Epps (born 12 March 1992) is a British/New Zealand racing driver who competed in the British Touring Car Championship in 2016 and 2017 for Team Hard. Due to budget issues, Michael was unable to continue in the series and raced the supporting Clio Cup in 2018 and Ginetta G55 in 2019. Racing career Epps began his career in karting in 2007, he raced in karting up until 2011, where he switched to the 750MC Formula Vee Championship. He went on to finish 2nd in the championship standings that season. He switched to the Formula Renault BARC championship in 2012, he finished 13th in the championship that year. Career Asian championships Born in Hunan, Cao started his racing career in 2008 in the Chinese Formula Ford Campus Championship. He won five races and clinched the championship with an advantage of seven points. Also in 2008, Cao finished third with seven podiums in the Asian Formula Renault Challenge and also contested two races of the Formula BMW Pacific Championship, with Pacific Racing. Diego Menchaca González-Quintanilla (born 20 October 1994 in Mexico City) is a Mexican racing driver. Career Karting Menchaca began karting in 2006 at the age of eight, competing in championships across Mexico and the United States.
