2012 FIA GT3 European Championship
The 2012 FIA GT3 European Championship was the seventh and final season of the FIA GT3 European Championship. The season commenced on 8 April at Nogaro and ended on 23 September at the Nürburgring. The season featured six double-header rounds, with each race lasting for a duration of 60 minutes. Most of the events were support races to the 2012 FIA GT1 World Championship; two of the six meetings were run in conjunction with the FIA GT1 World Championship, with combined grids being utilised. Calendar On 2 April 2012, the SRO announced the final calendar for 2012. Entries The entry list was published by the FIA on 3 April 2012. For the combined races with the FIA GT1 World Championship, GT3 cars ran with 100 in front of their usual car numbers. FIA GT3 European Championship
The FIA GT3 European Championship was a sports car racing series organized by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) and regulated by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It was a championship derived from the international FIA GT1 World Championship, but meant to provide competition for more amateur racers in closer to production cars. The series used extensive performance balancing and handicap weights to make cars more equal. Moscow Raceway is an FIA-approved motor racing venue, which is situated in the Volokolamsky District of Moscow Oblast, near the villages of Sheludkovo and Fedyukovo, from Moscow, Russia. It opened on 13 July 2012 for its first event as the fifth round of the World Series by Renault becoming the first major international motor-sport race track event in Russia. Kirill Ladygin
Kirill Sergeyevich Ladygin (born 17 December 1978 in Ekaterinburg) is a Russian professional auto racing driver. He is twice champion of the Russian LADA Revolution Cup in 2004 and 2006. In 2008 he competed in the FIA World Touring Car Championship when the Russian Bears Motorsport Team entered a third car, alongside Jaap van Lagen and Viktor Shapovalov. He drove in the final eight rounds of the season in a Lada 110, with a best placed race finish of nineteenth. Russian Bears Motorsport, also known as SMP Racing, is a Russian auto racing team based in Moscow. They ran the works team for Lada in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), under the banner of Lada Sport in the 2009 season. Team history Russian Bears Motorsport was formed in March 2007, and started by running BMW 320is in the Dutch Supercar Challenge, with drivers Viktor Shapovalov (who also owns the team), Lev Fridman, Evgeny Zelenov and Oleg Petrikov. Maximilian Buhk (born 9 December 1992 in Reinbek) is a retired German racing driver. Career Karting Buhk began karting in 2004 and raced only in his native Germany for the majority of his career, working his way up from the junior ranks to progress through to the KF2 category by 2009, when he finished on fifth position in ADAC Kart Masters. ADAC Formel Masters 2010 saw his debut in the ADAC Formel Masters championship with KUG Motorsport. Buhk finished twelfth in the championship with 12 point-scoring finishes.
