The 2012 Dallas Tennis Classic was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the first edition of the tournament, which was part of the 2012 ATP Challenger Tour. ATP Challenger Tour
The ATP Challenger Tour, known until the end of 2008 as the ATP Challenger Series, is a series of international men's professional tennis tournaments. The Challenger Tour events are the second-highest tier of tennis competition, behind the ATP Tour. The ITF World Tennis Tour tournaments are on the entry-level of international professional tennis competition. The ATP Challenger Tour is administered by the Association of Tennis Professionals. Players who succeed on the ATP Challenger Tour earn sufficient ranking points to become eligible for main draw or qualifying draw entry at ATP Tour tournaments. Players on the Challenger Tour are usually young players looking to advance their careers, those who fail to qualify for ATP events, or former ATP players looking to get back into the big tour. Vincenzo Santopadre
Vincenzo Santopadre (born 11 August 1971) is a former professional tennis player from Italy. Since 2011, he has been the coach of Matteo Berrettini, who has been ranked number 6 ATP, runner-up at Wimbledon, semifinalist at the US Open and the third Italian tennis player in history to have qualified for the ATP Finals. Tommy Haas
Thomas Mario Haas (; born 3 April 1978) is a German former professional tennis player. He competed on the ATP Tour from 1996 to 2017. After breaking into the world top 100 in 1997, and reaching a career-high singles ranking of world No. 2 in May 2002, his career was interrupted by injuries: Haas twice dropped out of the world rankings due to being unable to play for twelve months. His first period of injury saw him miss the whole of the 2003 season, and he did not return to the world's top 10 until 2007.
