Benjamin Nicholas Monroe (born April 12, 1982) is an American professional tennis player. He has won 4 ATP World Tour doubles titles and 13 ATP Challenger Tour titles in his career. College career Monroe had a highly successful college career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2000 to 2004. John Van Nostrand
John Van Nostrand (July 17, 1961 – April 15, 1984) was a professional tennis player from the United States. His sister Molly Van Nostrand also played tennis professionally. Career Van Nostrand was a dual NCAA All-American for Pepperdine University, in 1982 and 1983. He appeared in the main draw of one Grand Slam during his career, the 1983 Australian Open, in the men's doubles, but never got to play a point, as he and partner Jim Gurfein defaulted the match. The American was a quarter-finalist at the 1983 Hall of Fame Tennis Championships, held in Newport, Rhode Island. He beat world number 46 Mike De Palmer in the opening round and Mike Leach in the second round. In the first tournament of the 1984 Grand Prix season, at Auckland, Van Nostrand and partner Brian Levine were doubles champions. Arthur Ashe
Arthur Robert Ashe Jr. (July 10, 1943 – February 6, 1993) was an American professional tennis player who won three Grand Slam singles titles. He started to play tennis at six years old. He was the first black player selected to the United States Davis Cup team, and the only black man ever to win the singles title at Wimbledon, the US Open, and the Australian Open. He retired in 1980. He was ranked world No. 1 by Rex Bellamy, Bud Collins, Judith Elian, Lance Tingay, ''World Tennis'' and ''Tennis Magazine'' (U.S.) in 1975.
