2012 Bradford Bulls Season
This article details the Bradford Bulls rugby league football club's 2012 season, the seventeenth season of the Super League era. Season Review July 2011 Bradford Bulls announce the signing of NRL centre Keith Lulia from the Newcastle Knights on a 2-year deal. Also veteran winger Gareth Raynor signed a 1-year extension keeping him at the Bulls for the 2012 season. Raynor was later released for a severe breach of club discipline. Harlequins RL halfback Luke Gale signed a 2-year deal with Bradford making him the second new face at Odsal for 2012. Crusaders withdrew their Super League application and as a result the Bulls swooped for halfback Jarrod Sammut on a 1 Year Contract. Super League XVII
The 2012 Super League season (known as the ''Stobart Super League XVII'') was the 17th season of rugby league football since the Super League format was introduced in 1996. Fourteen teams competed for the League Leaders' Shield over 27 rounds (including the Magic Weekend at Manchester's Etihad Stadium), which was won by the Wigan Warriors. After the regular season, the 8 highest finishing teams entered the play-offs to compete for a place in the Grand Final and a chance to win the championship and the Super League Trophy. The season kicked off on 3 February with two Round 1 fixtures being played: the Widnes Vikings, in their first Super League match since 2005, lost to the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, while defending champions the Leeds Rhinos defeated the Hull Kingston Rovers and ended on 6 October with Leeds Rhinos beating Warrington Wolves 26-18 in the 2012 Super League Grand Final. London Broncos
The London Broncos are a professional rugby league club in London, England. The club competes in the RFL Championship. It was a member of Super League from its inaugural season in 1996 until the end of the 2014 season, when they were relegated to the Championship. They returned to the Super League after achieving promotion by winning the Million Pound Game against the Toronto Wolfpack in 2018, but were relegated back to the Championship at the end of the 2019 Super League season after finishing 12th. The club was originally formed in 1980 as Fulham Rugby League Club and entered the Second Division for the 1980–81 season. Andrew John Lynch (born 20 October 1979) is an English former professional rugby league footballer who played as a for the Castleford Tigers ( Heritage № 759), Bradford Bulls and Hull F.C. in the Super League, and England and Great Britain at international level. Playing career Castleford Lynch started his career at the Castleford Tigers in 1999. Lynch was named in the England 'A' squad for their match against New Zealand, and for the South Seas tour at the end of the 2002's Super League VII, and the following year was part of the squad that won the European Nations Cup. In 2003, he was selected in the Super League Dream Team. In the same year Lynch was also awarded the Tigers Player of the Year award. Chev Walker (born 9 October 1982) is an English former professional rugby league footballer who last played for the Bradford Bulls in the Championship. He played both rugby league and rugby union professionally. John Benjamin "Jobe" Murphy (born 16 October 1992 in Huddersfield, England) is a former rugby league footballer who played primarily as a . The Baroudeurs de Pia XIII, later known as the Pia Donkeys, are a French Rugby league team based in Pia, Pyrénées-Orientales in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. Shad Royston (born 29 November 1982) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s, he played over 200 professional games in the United Kingdom. The Penrith Panthers are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the western Sydney suburb of Penrith that competes in the NRL.
