2012 BWF World Junior Championships – Teams Event
The Team event tournament of the 2012 BWF World Junior Championships was the fourteenth tournament of the BWF World Junior Championships. It was held from October 25–28, 2012 in Chiba, Japan. According to the Badminton World Federation (BWF) 30 teams have confirmed their participation. The winner of the tournament would have Suhandinata Cup for about a year until the next BWF World Junior Championships Team Event is held. Seedings The seedings for teams competing in the tournament were released on October 11, 2012. It was based on aggregated points from the best players in the world junior ranking and the result of last year tournament. The tournament was divided into four groups, with Japan and China were the two top seeds, and 2 teams (Malaysia and Korea) in the seeded 3-4 were also put into the same group. another 4 teams were put in the second groups. Wu Hsiao-lin (; born 4 February 1995) is a badminton player from Taiwan. In 2012, he won the silver medal at the Asian Junior Championships in the boys' doubles event partnered with Wang Chi-lin. Teamed-up with Lin Chia-yu, they reach the Vietnam Open finals. They failed to win the title after being beaten by the Indonesian pair in three sets. Jeon Hyeok-jin (born 13 June 1995) is a Korean badminton player. Specializing in singles, he was runner-up at the 2013 Asian Junior Badminton Championships. Wang Chi-lin (; born 18 January 1995) is a Taiwanese badminton player who specializes in doubles. He is the 2020 Olympics men's doubles champion. Career In 2021, at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he and his partner Lee Yang defeated the 2018 World Champions' Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen in the men's doubles final. Choi Sol-gyu (; born 5 August 1995) is a South Korean badminton player. He was a part of the Korean national team that won the 2017 Sudirman Cup. Career Choi has been best known as a mixed doubles player since his back-to-back titles at the Asian Junior Championships in 2012 and 2013.
