The 2012 Arkansas State Red Wolves football team represents Arkansas State University in the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by first year head coach Gus Malzahn and played their home games at Liberty Bank Stadium as members of the Sun Belt Conference. Gus Malzahn
Arthur Gustavo Malzahn III (; born October 28, 1965) is an American football coach. He is currently the head coach at the University of Central Florida (UCF Knights football, UCF). He was the head football coach at Auburn University from 2013 to 2020. During the 2012 season he was the head football coach at Arkansas State University, after being the offensive coordinator at Auburn (2009 to 2011). In 2010, the 2010 Auburn Tigers football team, Auburn Tigers won the College football national championships in NCAA Division I FBS, national championship, Malzahn received the Broyles Award, which recognizes the top assistant coach in college football. 2012 South Alabama Jaguars Football Team
The 2012 South Alabama Jaguars football team represented the University of South Alabama in the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by fourth-year head coach Joey Jones and played their home games at Ladd–Peebles Stadium. They were a member of the Sun Belt Conference.
