2011–12 Yemeni League
The 2011–12 Yemeni League is the 20th edition of top-level football in Yemen. The season started on December 28 between last season's top two teams; Al-Tilal Aden and Al-Oruba Zabid and finished on July 16. The season was due to finish on 15 July but the final two games of the season were postponed until the next day due to heavy rainfall. The deciding games featured the top three sides of the league and decided who would be champions. The league winners and runners up qualify for the AFC Cup. The bottom four teams will be relegated. Teams Al-Wahda San'a', Hassan Abyan, Al-Saqr and Al Rasheed Ta'izz were relegated to the second tier after finishing in the bottom four places of the 2010–11 Yemeni League season. They were replaced by Al-Wahda Aden, Al-Shula, Al-Tali'aa Taizz and Najm Sba. Three teams would each represent the capital San'a and the city of Aden bringing some big rivalries to the domestic game. Yemeni League
Yemeni League is the top football division of the Yemen Football Association. It was created in 1990 after the unification of North and South Yemen. It was set up in a four-level system with Premier, First, Second and Third Division. 16 northern and 16 southern clubs entered the top level championship in the 1990–91 season. Previously, two separate championships were used for North Yemen and South Yemen. Currently, 14 clubs play at the top level, with four clubs being relegated to the 2nd tier. The season is generally run from early November to late June with the league winners entering the AFC Cup and Arab Champions League. The league has been cancelled since 2014 to 2021, due to the civil war which also stopped all other footballing activities in the Middle Eastern country. Al Bayda', Yemen

Ali Muhesen Stadium
Altawra Sports City Stadium ( ar, مدينة الثورة الرياضية), also known as the Ali Mohsen al-Muraisi Stadium ( ar, ملعب علي محسن المريسي), is a multi-purpose stadium in San‘a’, Yemen. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 30,000 people and was opened in 1986. It is currently the home ground of the Yemen national football team. During the Saudi Arabian-led intervention in Yemen at the Yemen War, the stadium was destroyed by a Saudi Arabian's air strike. In 2016, the stadium suffered bomb damage again. Al-Ahli (San'a')
Al-Ahli Club Sanaa () is a Yemeni football and basketball club based in Sanaa, Yemen. The club was founded in 1952. Al-Ahli has a fierce rivalry with local rivals Al-Wehda which manifests itself in the Al-Wahda versus Al-Ahli matches, known as "the Summit". The volleyball team sought to include the player Youssef Jamal and he would have been a strong addition to the club, but the board of directors of the union was changed and a new board of directors was appointed and the negotiations were stopped. Mukalla
Mukalla ( ar, ٱلْمُكَلَّا, ') is a seaport and the capital city of Yemen's largest governorate, Hadhramaut. The city is in the southern part of the Arabian Peninsula on the Gulf of Aden, on the shores of the Arabian Sea, about east of Aden. It is the most important port in the Hadhramaut and the fifth-largest city in Yemen, with a population of approximately 500,000. The city is served by the nearby Riyan International Airport. Aden
Aden ( ar, عدن ' Yemeni: ) is a city, and since 2015, the temporary capital of Yemen, near the eastern approach to the Red Sea (the Gulf of Aden), some east of the strait Bab-el-Mandeb. Its population is approximately 800,000 people. Aden's natural harbour lies in the crater of a dormant volcano, which now forms a peninsula joined to the mainland by a low isthmus.
