The 2011–12 LNBP was the 12th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on August 30, 2011, and ended on February 13, 2012. The 2010–11 LNBP was the 11th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on September 2, 2010 and ended on March 1, 2011. The league title was won by Toros de Nuevo Laredo, which defeated Pioneros de Quintana Roo in the championship series, 4–2. Format 18 teams participate. All the teams played against each other and the standings included all 18 teams with no separation in groups. The first 12 teams qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs have a first round (best-of-5), a second round (best-of-5), semifinals (best-of-7) and finals (best-of-7). Zacatecas City
Zacatecas () is the principal city within the municipality in Mexico of the same name, and the capital and the largest city of the state of Zacatecas. Located in north-central Mexico, the city had its start as a Spanish mining camp in the mid-16th century. Native Americans had already known about the area's rich deposits of silver and other minerals. Due to the wealth that the mines provided, Zacatecas quickly became one of the most important mining cities in New Spain. The area saw battles during the turbulent 19th century, but the next major event was the Battle of Zacatecas during the Mexican Revolution when Francisco Villa captured the town, an event still celebrated every anniversary. Huracanes de Tampico (English: ''Tampico Hurricanes'') is a professional Mexican basketball team, based in Tampico, Tamaulipas. The Libertadores are part of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, the top professional basketball league in Mexico. Xalapa
Xalapa or Jalapa (, ), officially Xalapa-Enríquez (), is the capital city of the Mexican state of Veracruz and the name of the surrounding municipality. Halcones de Xalapa is a basketball club based in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico that plays in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). The Fuerza Regia de Monterrey (''Monterrey Royal Force'' in English) is a Mexican professional basketball team based in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico playing in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP).
