2011–12 Kuwaiti Federation Cup
The 5th Kuwaiti Federation Cup started on 5 September 2011. The fifth Federation Cup is one of four competitions in the Kuwaiti 2011/2012 season. 14 clubs are taking part in the tournament. They were divided into two groups of seven, and the winner and runner-up of each group will advance to the semi-finals. Kuwait Federation Cup
The Kuwaiti Federation Cup ( ar, كأس الاتحاد الكويتي) is a competition organised by the Kuwait Football Association, the Kuwaiti version of a League cup and has been played in its current format every year since 2008. The first edition of the Federation Cup however was played in the 1969–70 season, although not much is known about the competition in the early years. The competition is for senior teams playing in the top tier Kuwaiti Premier League, although the 2015–16 edition saw Burgan enter to gain much needed practice before they enter the top flight. The cup competition is predominantly played during international breaks (Group stage) and after league match days. the Tournament was abolished at the end of 2015–16 season later returned in 2017–18. Al-Arabi Sporting Club ( ar, النادي العربي الرياضي) is a Kuwaiti sports club club based in Mansuriya, Kuwait City. The most notable section is football team in the Kuwait Premier League. Al Yarmouk (football Club)
Al-Yarmouk is a Kuwaiti professional sports club located in the district of Mishref. It was established on 28 February 1965 in Failaka Island and was the only Kuwaiti club to have been established outside mainland Kuwait at that time. The club was relocated to Kuwait after the 1990–1991 Gulf War, which resulted in the displacement of many inhabitants belonging to Failaka's island settlements. Therefore, due to inadequate facilities after the liberation of Kuwait, it was inevitable that the team had to move to a better and more sustainable location.
