Jason Lamy-Chappuis
Jason Lamy-Chappuis (born September 9, 1986) is a Franco-American former ski jumper and cross-country skier who has represented France in Nordic combined ski events between 2002 and 2015, then in the 2017-18 season. Born in the United States, where he first began competing in skiing events, Chappuis moved with his family to France as a child. Prior to the 2010 Winter Olympics, he had seen success in a number of international competitions, including World Cup events. He won the gold medal in the 10km individual normal hill at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada after passing race leader Johnny Spillane in a dramatic sprint at the finish line. His final time was only .4 seconds faster than Spillane's, the closest finish in a Nordic combined race in Olympic history. Alessandro Pittin
Alessandro Pittin, (born 11 February 1990 in Tolmezzo) is an Italian nordic combined athlete from Ski club Aldo Moro Paluzza. Career In the World Cup at Schonach in 2009, Pittin came in 9th place. He had previously won the Junior World Championships in Zakopane 2008. He has also competed in other FIS Nordic Combined World Cup competitions and has won several junior, and amateur competitions such as ''Fis Race'' and the ''Alpen Cup'' as well as the B-World Cup. Pittin has skis from Fischer. At the moment, he resides in Cercivento, Udine, Italy. Pittin's only major injury was when he broke his arm while ski jumping. Schattenberg Ski Jump
Audi Arena Oberstdorf (from 2004 to 2017 Erdinger Arena, until 2004 Skisprungstadion am Schattenberg) is a complex of five ski jumping hills, located in the German town of Oberstdorf, Bavaria, on the northwestern slope of the Schattenberg mountain (1845 m). On the largest hill of the complex, the Schattenbergschanze (meaning "Hill on Shadow Mountain"), with its K-120 and HS137, the first competition of the 4-Hills-Tournament takes place every year since 1952. The hill has held three FIS Nordic World Ski Championships – in 1987, 2005 and 2021. It is equipped with artificial lighting and stands for 27,005 seats. Oberstdorf ( Low Alemannic: ''Oberschdorf'') is a municipality and skiing and hiking town in Germany, located in the Allgäu region of the Bavarian Alps. Jørgen Nyland Graabak (born 26 April 1991) is a Norwegian nordic combined skier. With four victories, he has won more Olympic gold medals in the sport than any other athlete. Toni-Seelos-Olympiaschanze is a ski jumping hill in Seefeld, Tirol, Seefeld outside of Innsbruck, Austria. It is a part of the Seefeld Nordic Competence Centre consists of two hills, a normal hill with a hill size of HS109 (construction point, K-99) and medium hill with at HS75 (K-68). Next to the jumps is a cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skiing stadium. It opened in 1931 as Jahnschanze, but was renamed in honor of Anton Seelos in 1948. The venue was used for the normal hill competitions during the 1964 Winter Olympics, 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics, and for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1985, 1985 and FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2019, 2019. Seefeld, Tirol
Seefeld in Tirol is an old farming village, now a major tourist resort, in Innsbruck-Land District in the Austrian state of Tyrol with a local population of 3,312 (as of 1 January 2013). Mario Stecher (born 17 July 1977, in Eisenerz) is an Austrian former Nordic combined skier. Competing in six Winter Olympics, he won three medals in the 4 x 5 km team event with two golds (2006, 2010) and a bronze (2002). Stecher's best individual finish was fifth in the 10 km individual normal hill event at Vancouver in 2010. He won six medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with two gold, three silvers (7.5 km sprint: 1999, 4 x 5 km team: 2001) and a bronze (4 x 5 km team: 1997). Stecher has a total of nine World Cup victories since 1994, including the Nordic combined event at the Holmenkollen ski festival that same year. Jan Andreas Schmid (born 24 November 1983) is a Norwegian former nordic combined skier, of Swiss origin. He won two medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec with a silver in the 10 km individual normal hill event and a bronze in the 4 x 5 km team event. Competing two Winter Olympics for Switzerland, he earned his best finish of fourth in the 4 x 5 km team event at Turin in 2006. Schmid also competed in two World Championships for Switzerland. At the 2010 Winter Olympics for Norway, he finished fifth in the 4 x 5 km team event. Background Schmid was born in Norway, speaks Norwegian, and has lived in city of Trondheim all of his life.
