2011 World Table Tennis Championships – Men's Doubles
The 2011 World Table Tennis Championships men's doubles was the 51st edition of the men's doubles championship. Chen Qi and Wang Hao were the defending champions. For this event, Chen partnered Ma Lin while Hao teamed up with Zhang Jike. Ma Long and Xu Xin, who were runners-up in 2009, won in the final against Chen Qi and Ma Lin 11–3, 11–8, 4–11, 11–4, 11–7. Rotterdam Ahoy (formerly known as Ahoy Rotterdam or simply as Ahoy) is a convention centre and multi-purpose indoor arena located in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Ryu Seung-Min
Ryu Seung-min (; born August 5, 1982 in Seoul, South Korea) is a Korean table tennis player who won the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the men's singles competition. His opponent was Wang Hao, a top-seeded player from the Chinese national team. Along the way, he defeated 1992 Olympic champion Jan-Ove Waldner with 4–1. At the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics he was part of the South Korean team that won the bronze and silver medals respectively. Ryu is ranked twenty-fifth in the world as of July 2013. Yang Zi (; born 19 June 1984, in Beijing, China) is a Chinese-born Singaporean former table tennis player. Career Yang joined the Singapore Table Tennis Association under the Foreign Sports Talent Scheme in 2003 and became a Singapore citizen two years later in 2005. He had represented Singapore in many major events such as 15th Asian Games, 18th Commonwealth Games and 23rd SEA Games. In 2005, Yang won 2 Pro Tour Men's Singles U21 titles and won the Pro Tour Grand Finals Men's Singles U21 title. He also won the silver medal in the Beijing Invitational. Li Ching (; born 7 March 1975 in Doumen, Guangdong, China) is a table tennis player from Hong Kong. He is best known for the joint silver medal he won for Hong Kong at the Athens Olympic in 2004. Career Born in Guangdong, Li joined the Chinese national table tennis team in 1990, and won second place at the men's single table tennis competition at the National Cup in China. Li's performance during his time at the Chinese national team fluctuated wildly, due primarily to switching of tactics. In 1994, Li withdrew from the Chinese national team for health reason, and moved to Hong Kong to join its national table tennis team.
