Yang Zi (table Tennis)
Yang Zi (; born 19 June 1984, in Beijing, China) is a Chinese-born Singaporean former table tennis player. Career Yang joined the Singapore Table Tennis Association under the Foreign Sports Talent Scheme in 2003 and became a Singapore citizen two years later in 2005. He had represented Singapore in many major events such as 15th Asian Games, 18th Commonwealth Games and 23rd SEA Games. In 2005, Yang won 2 Pro Tour Men's Singles U21 titles and won the Pro Tour Grand Finals Men's Singles U21 title. He also won the silver medal in the Beijing Invitational. Later he also managed to clinch 3 gold medals in the 2005 Southeast Asian Games and 2 golds in the 2006 Commonwealth Games. During the world's second largest sports event, 15th Asian Games, Yang, together with partner Li Jiawei, won the bronze medal for the mixed doubles event. Pro Tour Grand Finals
The ITTF World Tour Grand Finals, formerly named ITTF Pro Tour Grand Finals, is an annual table tennis tournament sanctioned by International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) at the end of the year. The tournament includes seven events: men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, mixed doubles (new in 2018), U21 men's and women's singles. Players who accumulated the largest number of points on the ITTF World Tour are qualified for the event, and competing for total prize money of US$1,000,000, the biggest total prize money event in the ITTF calendar. Gold Medal
A gold medal is a medal awarded for highest achievement in a non-military field. Its name derives from the use of at least a fraction of gold in form of plating or alloying in its manufacture. Liam Pitchford
Liam Benjamin Pitchford (born 12 July 1993) is a British table tennis player. He is sponsored by Victas. Career Pitchford began playing table tennis when he was eight years old. He won the British Home Countries Championship in 2009, and two Commonwealth Games medals in 2010 (Silver in Team and Bronze in Doubles). In the summer of 2011, he transferred to German club TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen in the top division, the Bundesliga, having played for second division club FC Tegernheim the previous season. Zhan Jian (born 30 January 1982 in Huangshi, Hubei) is a Chinese-born Singaporean table tennis player. He competed for Singapore in the men's team event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, he won the men's individual table tennis, beating teammate Gao Ning Gao Ning (; born 11 October 1982) is a retired Chinese-born Singaporean table tennis player. Paul Drinkhall
Paul Andrew Drinkhall (born 16 January 1990) is a British table tennis player. He won the English Championship in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2016 and 2017. Career Drinkhall was born in Middlesbrough. His career in table tennis started in 1997 when he went along to watch his grandfather Ray play in a local league near his home. He enjoyed much success as a youngster, winning numerous national championships at his age level, and at levels above his own age. This success did not go unnoticed, as he was shortlisted for BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2005, and finished in second place after Theo Walcott in 2006. Chuang Chih-yuan (; born 2 April 1981) is a Taiwanese table tennis player. He won the ITTF Pro Tour Grand Finals in 2002 and doubles title at the 2013 World Table Tennis Championships. He participated in the Summer Olympics five times, making the most appearances at Olympic Games among Taiwanese athletes. Marcos André Sousa da Silva Freitas (born 8 April 1988) is a Portuguese table tennis player who has won European Championships in singles, doubles, and team events. He participated at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing where he got knocked out in the Round of 64. In the same year he won the bronze medal in the men's doubles at the European Championship with Tiago Apolónia. Zoran Primorac
Zoran Primorac (born 10 May 1969) is a retired male table tennis player from Croatia. He is a two-time winner of the World Cup and one of only three table tennis players to have competed at seven Olympic Games. His highest ITTF world ranking was number 2, in 1998. Biography Primorac was born in Zadar and started playing table tennis at the club STK "Bagat" in his home town. As a junior, he won seven medals at European championships. In 1985 he moved to the Zagreb club "Vjesnik", Caja Granada and UMMC Verkhnaya Pyshma.
