Cheung Yuk
Cheung Yuk (; born October 28, 1981, in Jiangsu, People's Republic of China) is a Hong Kong table tennis player. As of February 2013, Cheung was ranked no. 80 in the world by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). Cheung is also left-handed, and uses the offensive, shakehand grip. Table tennis career Representing his adopted nation Hong Kong, Cheung made his official debut at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, where he competed in both the singles and doubles tournament. For his first event, the men's doubles, Cheung and his partner Leung Chu Yan won the preliminary pool round against Greece's Kalinikos Kreanga and Ntaniel Tsiokas, and Australia's Simon Gerada and Mark Smythe, attaining two victories, four games, and a total score of 98 points. 2013 World Table Tennis Championships
The 2013 World Table Tennis Championships were held at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy in Paris, France, from May 13 to May 20, 2013. The Championships were the 52nd edition of the World Table Tennis Championships. These were the first Championships since 2003 in which China did not win all five competitions and the first since 1993 in which they won fewer than four gold medals. China's ten-Championships long streak of men's doubles titles came to an end as Chuang Chih-yuan and Chen Chien-an of Chinese Taipei (Taiwan) beat a Chinese duo for their nation's first-ever gold medal. Ryu Seung-Min
Ryu Seung-min (; born August 5, 1982 in Seoul, South Korea) is a Korean table tennis player who won the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the men's singles competition. His opponent was Wang Hao, a top-seeded player from the Chinese national team. Along the way, he defeated 1992 Olympic champion Jan-Ove Waldner with 4–1. At the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics he was part of the South Korean team that won the bronze and silver medals respectively. Ryu is ranked twenty-fifth in the world as of July 2013. In 2016, Ryu became a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), he was a member and Chair of the Athletes' Commission of the South Korean National Olympic Committee from 2016 to 2019. Simon Gerada
Simon Gerada (born 20 March 1981) is a right-handed Australian/ Maltese Table Tennis Player. His father, Joe Gerada was born in Malta and emigrated to Australia in the 1980s. Simon Gerada was born and brought up in Melbourne, Australia and began playing at the age of 9 after he witnessed his father win a shopping centre tournament. He represented Victoria in national junior tournaments. Ntaniel Tsiokas
Daniel Tsiokas ( gr, Ντανιελ Τσιόκας; born Daniel Cioca, 19 June 1971 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania), also known as Ntaniel Tsiokas, is a Greek table tennis player of Romanian origin. As of July 2009, Tsiokas is ranked no. 121 in the world by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). Tsiokas is a member of Gazinet-Cestas Athletic Sport Club (french: Sport Athlétique Gazinet-Cestas) in Cestas, France, and is coached and trained by Nikolaos Kostapoulos. Tsiokas also competed in the men's singles and doubles at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, and at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, but he failed to advance into the succeeding rounds after his first preliminary match. Kalinikos Kreanga
Kalinikos Kreanga (born March 8, 1972) is a Greek (formerly Romanian) table tennis player. Born as Călin Creangă, he chose to defect from Communist-ruled Romania at the age of 17 (with his father) while he was participating in the European Table Tennis Youth Championships in Luxembourg in 1989. Born in Bistriţa, Romania, Kreanga started to play table tennis at the age of 7. His first coach was Gheorghe Bozga, who would later discover Mihaela Steff. While in Luxembourg, he received an offer to play in Greece, so he decided to move there. Being a minor, he quickly acquired Greek citizenship, and changed his name to Kalinikos Kreanga. He has been one of the dominant European table tennis players since the beginning of the 1990s, and uses the shakehand grip to hold the racket.
