2011 World Cup Of Pool
The 2011 World Cup of Pool is the sixth edition of the said tournament. For the third straight year, the event is once again being held in the Philippines, at The Block of SM City North EDSA in Quezon City, from 6 to 11 September 2011. The event was won by the German team of Ralf Souquet and Thorsten Hohmann, who defeated Thailand's Nitiwat Kanjanasri and Kobkit Palajin in the final 10–4. Rules *Winners' break. *Teammates take shots alternately. *Race to eight racks for matches prior to the quarterfinals. *Race to nine racks for matches from the quarterfinals to the semifinals. *Race to ten racks for the Final. *Eighty-second shot clock for the shot immediately after the break, forty seconds for other shots. *In order for a break to be legal, at least two balls must pass over the head string. SM North EDSA (formerly SM City North EDSA, The SM Center North EDSA and The SM City North EDSA), and colloquially known as SM North, is a large shopping mall located in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Fabio Petroni
Fabio Petroni (born 30 March 1972 in Rome, Italy) is an Italian professional pool player. Career Fabio Petroni was born in 1972 in Rome, Italy and began playing billiards when he was 13 years old. In 1993, he became the first Italian champion. He took second place in the World Pool League and became runner-up at the European Pool Championships 1998 in the 9-Ball. At the end of the year, he also represented Europe at the 1998 Mosconi Cup, his only appointment to the European Mosconi Cup team. David Alcaide Bermúdez (born 14 December 1978) is a Spanish pool player. He is a two-time winner of the World Pool Masters, winning the 2017 event, defeating Jayson Shaw 8–7 in the final, and again in 2019 defeating Alexander Kazakis 9–8. Alcaide is a three-time world championship semi-finalist having reached the stage at the WPA World 10-ball Championship, in 2009 and 2015, and the WPA World Eight-ball Championship in 2011. Ko Pin-yi (born 31 May 1989) is a Taiwanese professional pool player. He became multiple World Champion in the disciplines of 9-ball and 10-ball in 2015. Corey Deuel (born November 20, 1977 in Santa Barbara, California) is an American professional pool player from West Jefferson, Ohio. Nicknamed "Prince of Pool", he won the US Open Nine-ball Championship in 2001, and has won many other major titles. In January 2008, he was ranked the second highest US pool player by the United States Professional Poolplayers Association. He regularly represents the US in the Mosconi Cup.
