2011 Tre Valli Varesine
The 2011 Tre Valli Varesine was the 91st edition of the Tre Valli Varesine, a single-day cycling race. It was held on 16 August 2011, over a distance of . The race started in Besozzo and finished in Campione d'Italia, in Varese, Lombardy. Davide Rebellin won the race (his first win since his 2008 suspension), beating Domenico Pozzovivo by four seconds. Teams and riders Five ProTour teams and Eleven Professional Continental teams were invited. Two Italian Continental teams completed the startlist. Danilo Di Luca
Danilo Di Luca (born 2 January 1976) is a former Italian professional road racing cyclist, best known for winning the 2007 Giro d'Italia, but also for several positive doping tests, the last of which resulting in a lifetime ban from the sport. Di Luca is also one of six riders to have won each of the three Ardennes classics; he won the Amstel Gold Race and La Flèche Wallonne in 2005, and Liège–Bastogne–Liège in 2007. Simon Clarke (born 18 July 1986) is an Australian professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He previously rode for the (2011) and (2012–2015) teams in the UCI World Tour. Before turning professional, Clarke competed in track cycling as an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. The 2011 Eneco Tour was the seventh running of the Eneco Tour cycling stage race. It started with an individual time trial in Amersfoort in the Netherlands on 8 August and finished on 14 August 2011 in Sittard, Sittard-Geleen, also in the Netherlands. The race consisted of seven stages, including the race-commencing prologue, as well as another individual time trial held in Roermond in the Netherlands. It was the 20th race of the 2011 UCI World Tour season. The race was held one week earlier than during 2010 UCI World Ranking, the previous season and also one day less in length. Like the previous years, parts of the Netherlands and Belgium were covered.
