2011 Pacific Coast Soccer League Season
The 2011 Pacific Coast Soccer League season was the 16th season in the modern era of the league. The regular season began on 14 May and ended on 16 July, and was followed by the Challenge Cup, a post season tournament of the top four teams to determine the league's champion. Each team played between 12 and 13 matches depending on the division entered. The women's open division consisted of 11 teams while the men's open division had 7. In the Men's Premier division, the Vancouver Thunderbirds finished the season in first place, but Okanagan Challenge won the playoff finals. In the Women's Premier division, the Vancouver Thunderbirds won both the season and the playoffs. Pacific Coast Soccer League
The Pacific Coast Soccer League is an amateur soccer league, currently featuring teams from British Columbia. In the past clubs from Washington and Oregon have competed. PCSL is considered to be British Columbia's premier summer league. The league winners are not eligible for any higher cup competitions; however, most players play in a winter league, such as the VMSL, VISL or FVSL, where teams do participate in BC Provincial Cup qualification. The league has a short, 2.5-month summer season. The league is considered to be a 4th tier competition next to USL League 2. The PCSL comprises elite football players, including ex-pros from Europe and North America, or NCAA or U Sports players and others looking to become professional footballers, or maintain fitness. Several clubs are directly affiliated and managed by local university soccer programs looking to keep their players in form and build team chemistry over the off-season. Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club
Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club (''CMFSC''), formerly known as ''FC Xtreme'' and ''Tri-Cities Xtreme'', are a Canadian men's and women's soccer club soccer team, founded in the city of Coquitlam, British Columbia in 2003. The team is a member of the Pacific Coast Soccer League. The Xtreme play their home matches at Dr. Charles Best Secondary School, and previously played at Percy Perry Stadium; both facilities feature newly installed FieldTurf surfaces. Since their founding, the Xtreme have been a dominant force in the PCSL, winning the Dave Fryatt Challenge Cup in 2003 (beating Surrey United), 2004 (beating the Victoria Stars) and 2007 (beating the Whitecaps FC Reserves). They also finished runner-up in 2006, losing to the Whitecaps FC Reserves. On 9 December 2008, the Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club acquired the Xtreme. TSS Academy
TSS FC Rovers are a Canadian soccer team based in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada that play in League1 British Columbia. Established for the 2017 PDL season by general manager Will Cromack and head coach Colin Elmes, the Rovers are the under-23 team of the TSS Academy, one of the largest soccer schools in British Columbia's Lower Mainland.
