The 2011 Molson Canadian Men's Provincial Curling Championship was held February 2–6 at the Miramichi Curling Club in Miramichi, New Brunswick. The winning team of James Grattan represented New Brunswick at the 2011 Tim Hortons Brier in London, Ontario. Spencer Mawhinney
Spencer Mawhinney (born May 30, 1977) is a Canadian curler from Saint John, New Brunswick. He currently plays second on Team Jason Roach. Career Mawhinney made the playoffs at the 2009 Alexander Keith's Tankard as lead for Charlie Sullivan. They lost in the semifinal to Rick Perron. He lost in the semifinal in 2011 as well, as lead for Paul Dobson. In 2017, Mawhinney and his rink of Sullivan, Dobson and Mark Dobson made the final of the 2017 Pepsi Tankard. They had finished 4–3 in the round robin and defeated James Grattan in the semifinal. They took control of the game in the second end by stealing three after Mike Kennedy missed his last shot. The game was tied 4–4 in the ninth before Team Sullivan gave up a steal of three, ultimately losing the match 7–5. Ronnie Burgess (curler)
Ronnie Burgess (March 7, 1963 – January 4, 2021) was an American professional football player who was a defensive back for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Biography Burgess was born on March 7, 1963, in Sumter, South Carolina, and was a graduate of Sumter High School. He died on January 4, 2021, in Socastee, South Carolina, after a cardiac arrest related to medical issues stemming from a car accident in late 2019. He was 57 years old. Brian King (curler)
Brian King (born January 2, 1981, in Ottawa, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from Burton, New Brunswick. He currently plays third on Team Scott Jones. Career King competed in his first New Brunswick Tankard in 2010 as second for the Scott Jones. At the 2010 Alexander Keith's Tankard, the team finished with a 4–3 record, missing the playoffs. They returned to the provincial championship the following season where they finished sixth with a 3–4 record. King joined the Zach Eldridge rink for the 2011–12 season. After failing to qualify in 2012, the team competed in the 2013 Molson Canadian Men's Provincial Curling Championship. There, they topped the round robin standings with a 5–2 record, earning an automatic bye to the championship game where they faced James Grattan. Andy McCann
Andrew McCann (born April 26, 1982 in Oromocto) is a Canadian curler from Fredericton Junction, New Brunswick. He currently plays lead on Team James Grattan. Career McCann was the alternate for Team New Brunswick skipped by James Grattan at the 2008 Tim Hortons Brier where they finished with a 2–9 record. He played in two games. He won his first provincial championship in 2012 at the 2012 Molson Canadian Men's Provincial Curling Championship as third for Terry Odishaw. At the 2012 Tim Hortons Brier, the team had a good showing, finishing the round robin in sixth with a 5–6 record. McCann would once again spare for Grattan at the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier. Scott Jones (curler)
Scott Jones (born November 4, 1971) is a Canadian curler from Moncton, New Brunswick. He currently skips his own team. Career Juniors Jones won the 1990 New Brunswick junior men's title, skipping a rink of Darrell Rice, Sean Hughson and Shane Longley. The team represented New Brunswick at the 1990 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, with Jones playing second on the team. There, the rink would finish with a 3–8 record, in 11th place. Men's Jones won his first provincial men's title in 2007, throwing third rocks for the Paul Dobson rink. At the 2007 Tim Hortons Brier, the rink would finish last, with a 1–10 record. Beaver Curling Club
Curl Moncton Inc. is a curling club in Moncton, New Brunswick. History Curl Moncton traces its history back to the founding of the Moncton Curling Association (MCA) in 1881, and was located on Lower Lutz Street. The club was moved to Mechanic Street in 1903, but was destroyed in a fire in 1915. The club was then rebuilt on Lutz Street. Curl Moncton itself was formed in 2011 when the Beaver Curling Club and the Curling Beauséjour merged. The MCA joined Curl Moncton in 2013, when Curl Moncton purchased its site on Lutz Street to gain access to equity.
