The 2011 Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic was held from October 14 to 17 at the Medicine Hat Curling Club in Medicine Hat, Alberta as part of the 2011–12 World Curling Tour. Nathan Connolly (curler)
Nathan Connolly (born 20 January 1981) is a Northern Irish musician, who is best known as the lead guitarist and backing vocalist for alternative rock band Snow Patrol. Early life Connolly, who was born in Belfast, sang for a gospel church choir at Glenmachan, Church of God, Belfast when he was 16, and the experience, he says, is what inspired him to be a musician. He is a former pupil of Grosvenor Grammar School. Career Prior to joining Snow Patrol, Connolly was a member of a band called File Under Easy Listening (or F.U.E.L), who were managed by BBC Radio 1 DJ Colin Murray. The band consisted of Connolly, vocalist Aaron Ditty, Dave Magee and Peter Comfort. Unfortunately, it did not last long; the single "Closure/Dryform" was F.U.E.L.'s first and only release. Adam Enright
Adam Enright (born November 16, 1983, in Rosalind, Alberta) is a Canadian curler from Edmonton, Alberta. He is a former alternate for Kevin Martin's rink with whom he won a gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics as well as wins at the 2008 Tim Hortons Brier and the 2008 World Men's Curling Championship. Currently, Enright plays third for Kurt Balderston's rink. Career In 2002, Enright won the Alberta Junior Championship as the third for Justin Jacobsen. The team finished with a 6–6 record at the 2002 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. Since juniors, Enright has played for such skips as Chris Schille, Charley Thomas and Mark Johnson. In 2006, he played at the Players' Championships as the lead for the Kevin Martin team. They brought him back in 2008 to be their alternate for the Brier and World Championships. Rocky Mountain House
Rocky Mountain House is a town in west-central Alberta, Canada. It is approximately west of Red Deer at the confluence of the Clearwater and North Saskatchewan Rivers, and at the crossroads of Highway 22 (Cowboy Trail) and Highway 11 (David Thompson Highway). The surrounding Clearwater County's administration office is located in Rocky Mountain House. Gordon Charles Hart (17 March 1919 – 16 April 2009) was an Australian World War II veteran and rugby league player who played in the 1930s and 1940s. He was a state representative who won the 1941 premiership with St George.
