Adam Enright
Adam Enright (born November 16, 1983, in Rosalind, Alberta) is a Canadian curler from Edmonton, Alberta. He is a former alternate for Kevin Martin's rink with whom he won a gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics as well as wins at the 2008 Tim Hortons Brier and the 2008 World Men's Curling Championship. Currently, Enright plays third for Kurt Balderston's rink. Career In 2002, Enright won the Alberta Junior Championship as the third for Justin Jacobsen. The team finished with a 6–6 record at the 2002 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. Since juniors, Enright has played for such skips as Chris Schille, Charley Thomas and Mark Johnson. In 2006, he played at the Players' Championships as the lead for the Kevin Martin team. They brought him back in 2008 to be their alternate for the Brier and World Championships. Rosalind, Alberta
Rosalind is a village located in the prairies of central Alberta, Canada. It is located on Highway 854, approximately southeast of Edmonton and southeast of Camrose, the closest major trading centre. Stephanie Enright (born Stephanie Walker) is a Canadian curler from Rosalind, Alberta. She represented the University of Alberta at the University Nationals twice, and in 2017 she was part of the team which won the Canadian Open as a member of Team Casey Scheidegger. Players' Championships
The Players' Championship is one of the final events on the World Curling Tour (WCT) and is a part of the Grand Slam of Curling. From 2016 to 2019, it was the penultimate slam of the curling season, and the last of the four "majors". The event was one of the original Grand Slam events when they were instituted in the 2001–02 season for men and for the 2006–07 season for women. History The event began as the "VO Cup" before the Grand Slam era in 1993, as part of the very first World Curling Tour season. The event was known as the VO Cup for two seasons before title sponsor Seagram's Distillery pulled out. With no sponsor, the 1995 event was saved at the last minute, and continued the next season thanks to a TV deal with TSN. A women's event was introduced in 2006. Mark Johnson (curler)
Mark Johnson (born September 6, 1958, in Walla Walla, Washington) is an American-Canadian curler from Edmonton, Alberta. He is a former World Senior Curling Champion. Career Johnson has curled competitively in both Canada and the United States. In the mid-2000s, he skipped one of the top teams in Alberta. In 2006, he lost to Kevin Martin in the provincial final. He was asked by Martin to play as the team's alternate at the 2006 Tim Hortons Brier, in which Johnson played two games. In 2009, Johnson skipped a Seattle-based team at the 2010 United States Olympic Curling Trials. The team placed 4–5. On turning 50, Johnson became a senior aged curler, and played in his first Canadian Senior Curling Championships in 2010. His Alberta team defeated Ontario in the final. Charley Thomas
Charley M. Thomas (born April 4, 1986 in Victoria, British Columbia) is a Canadian curler from Calgary who currently skips his own rink on the World Curling Tour. Curling career Thomas started his career with an Alberta Provincial Junior title in 2004 and made his debut on the national and international curling scene representing Alberta and winning the 2006 Canadian Junior Curling Championships (Thunder Bay, Ontario) and 2006 World Junior Curling Championships (Jeonju, Korea). Thomas and team also qualified for the 2007 Canadian Junior Curling Championships by winning the 2007 Alberta Junior Provincials at the Granite Curling Club in Edmonton, Alberta. Chris Schille
Christopher Schille (born February 19, 1983 in Barrhead, Alberta) is a Canadian curler from Red Deer, Alberta. Curling career Schille grew up in Alberta, where he had a successful junior career, skipping the Alberta team to a 7-5 record at the 2004 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. Following Juniors, he played third for Rob Armitage during the 2004-05 season. The following season, he formed his own team before heading east to play second for 2006 Olympic champion Brad Gushue out of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. In 2008 he was replaced by Ryan Fry and Schille returned to Alberta to form his own team. Schille's move to Newfoundland to play for the Gushue rink followed the departure of Russ Howard.
