The 2011 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship was the 117th staging of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Limerick County Board. Kilmallock were the defending champions. On 2 October 2011, Na Piarsaigh won the championship after a 2–18 to 0–13 defeat of Ahane in the final. It was their first ever championship title. Na Piarsaigh GAA (Limerick)
Na Piarsaigh () is a Gaelic Athletic Association club situated on the north side of Limerick City, Ireland. It was founded in 1968. Following their 1–15 to 3–11 victory in the 2022 Limerick Intermediate Football Championship over St Senan's, Na Piarsaigh are one of Four dual senior club in hurling and Gaelic football in Limerick. The club currently field five adult teams three in hurling (senior, Intermediate & Junior) and two in football (Senior & Junior), the most of any club in Limerick. In 2011, Na Piarsaigh won their first ever Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship. In November 2015, Na Piarsaigh won their third Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship after a 2–18 to 2–11 win against Ballygunner in the final. Seán Stack
Seán Stack (born 1953) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a centre-back for the Clare senior team. Born in Listowel, County Kerry, Stack first played competitive hurling during his schooling at St. Flannan's College. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Clare minor team before later joining the under-21, junior and intermediate sides. He made his senior debut during the 1974 championship. Stack immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won two National Hurling League medals. He was a Munster runner-up on five occasions. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Stack won two Railway Cup medal. At club level he is a one-time Munster medallist with Sixmilebridge. In addition to this he has also seven championship medals. Throughout his career Stack made 28 championship appearances. Ahane GAA
Ahane GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the Ahane, Castleconnell and Montpelier areas of east County Limerick, Republic of Ireland. The club fields teams in both hurling and football and historically is regarded as one of the great clubs of Limerick. Some other class players were the Mackey brothers, Mick and John and Jackie Power among others. Oliver Moran (born 7 November 1975 in Castleconnell, County Limerick) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Ahane and was a member of the Limerick senior inter-county team from 1997 to 2009. During his career as a hurler, he has won 3 County Championships with Ahane, 2 Fitzgibbon Cup titles with Waterford IT, a National Hurling League and Waterford Crystal Cup title with Limerick, 5 Railway Cup titles with Munster and a shinty/hurling international with Ireland. Ollie's individual accolades include a Munster All-Star award in 2004 and a GAA All-Star award in 2007. He was also captain of the Limerick Senior Hurling Team in 2005. Limerick Senior Hurling Championship
The Limerick Senior Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Bon Secours Hospital County Senior Hurling Championship and abbreviated to the Limerick SHC) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Limerick County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the top-ranking senior clubs in the county of Limerick in Ireland. It is the most prestigious competition in Limerick hurling. Gaelic Grounds
The Gaelic Grounds, know for sponsorshop reasons as the TUS Gaelic Grounds, is the principal GAA stadium in the Irish city of Limerick, home to the Limerick hurling and football teams. It has a capacity of 44,023. History 9 October 1926 saw first steps taken towards creating the Limerick Gaelic Grounds as a GAA stadium of note. A farm containing was purchased at Coolraine on the Ennis Road for development as a sporting grounds. Two years later the new grounds officially opened with two junior hurling games. The first big effort to raise funds for the development of the grounds was in 1932, with the establishment of a development committee, whose remit was to level the pitch, providing sideline seating and erect a boundary wall. The 1950s saw crowds of up to 50,000 attending games in the grounds. 1958 saw a new stand being built at Páirc na nGael – it was the Old Hogan Stand from Croke Park.
