Na Piarsaigh GAA (Limerick)
Na Piarsaigh () is a Gaelic Athletic Association club situated on the north side of Limerick City, Ireland. It was founded in 1968. Following their 1–15 to 3–11 victory in the 2022 Limerick Intermediate Football Championship over St Senan's, Na Piarsaigh are one of Four dual senior club in hurling and Gaelic football in Limerick. The club currently field five adult teams three in hurling (senior, Intermediate & Junior) and two in football (Senior & Junior), the most of any club in Limerick. In 2011, Na Piarsaigh won their first ever Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship. In November 2015, Na Piarsaigh won their third Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship after a 2–18 to 2–11 win against Ballygunner in the final. On St Patrick's Day, 2016 Na Piarsaigh won their first ever All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship beating Ruairí Óg, Cushendall 2–25 to 2–14 in Croke Park, becoming the first ever Limerick club to do so. Caherdavin
Caherdavin () is a northern suburban district of Limerick city in the mid-west of Ireland. It had a population in 2002 of 6,613. Local landmarks include the Moylish campus of the Limerick Institute of Technology, a third level college and research centre, the Jetland Shopping Centre which opened in 2005, Caherdavin Church, built in 1985, with adjoining primary boys' and girls' schools (Scoil Chríost Rí and Mary Queen of Ireland respectively) and there is also St Nessan's Community College in the nearby Woodview estate. Féile Na NGael
Féile na nGael (; Irish for "Festival of the Gaels") is an annual tournament comprising the sports of hurling, camogie and handball organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. Its stated aim is to bond communities, forge friendships, provide educational opportunities and unearth new leaders. The competition hosts approximately 25,000 boys and girls each year with all 32 of Ireland's Gaelic games counties represented along with teams from London and Warwickshire. Féile na nGael states that its primary objective is to facilitate and enable personal, social and cultural development amongst young people with emphasis on cultural and community activities, leadership and training through sport. Maurice Horan
Maurice Horan (born 1976) is an Irish Gaelic football manager and former player. He is a former manager of the senior Limerick county team. Horan experienced a relatively unsuccessful playing career at club level with Ballinrobe and Monaleen and at inter-county level with Mayo and Limerick. He was a full-forward for both club and county; however, his career ended without any provincial success in either Connacht or Munster. Immediately after retiring from inter-county activity Horan became involved in team management. He served as manager of the Limerick under-21 football team for a period. Ronan Lynch
Ronan Lynch (born 1996) is an Irish hurler who plays as a left corner-forward for the Limerick senior team. Born in Limerick, Lynch first played competitive hurling during his schooling at Ardscoil Rís. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of fifteen when he first linked up with the Limerick minor team before later joining the under-21 side. He joined the senior team during the 2015 championship. At club level Lynch plays with Na Piarsaigh. Playing career College During his schooling at Ardscoil Rís in Limerick, Lynch established himself as a key member of the senior hurling team. Kevin Downes (hurler)
Kevin Downes (born 14 October 1991) is an Irish hurler who plays for Limerick Senior Championship club Na Piarsaigh and at inter-county level with the Limerick senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a full-forward. Playing career Ardscoil Rís Downes first came to prominence as a hurler with Ardscoil Rís in Limerick. Having played in every grade as a hurler, he was full-forward on the college's senior hurling team. On 11 March 2010, Downes scored 1-02 from play when Ardscoil Rís defeated Thurles CBS in the final of the Harty Cup. On 3 April, he was switched to left wing-forward for the All-Ireland final against St. Kieran's College. Downes was held scoreless in the 2-11 to 2-08 defeat. David Breen (hurler)
David Breen (born 20 September 1985) is an Irish hurler who played centre-forward and was the captain of the Limerick senior team. Breen made his first appearance for the team during the 2009 championship and has become a regular member of the starting fifteen over the last few seasons. Since then he has won one National Hurling League (Division 2) winners' medal. At club level, Breen has won both Munster and county championship winners' medals with Na Piarsaigh. Playing career Club Breen plays his club hurling with the Na Piarsaigh club in Limerick. After developing his hurling at juvenile levels he later came to prominence as a member of the club's minor hurling team. Shane Dowling (hurler)
Shane Dowling (born 21 February 1993) is an Irish hurler who plays as a half-forward for club side Na Piarsaigh and previously at inter-county level with the Limerick senior hurling team. Playing career College Dowling first came to prominence as a hurler with Ardscoil Rís in Limerick. Having played in every grade as a hurler, he was centre-forward on the college's senior hurling team. On 11 March 2010, Dowling scored a point from play when Ardscoil Rís defeated Thurles CBS in the final of the Harty Cup. This is a list of all the past winners of the official GAA GPA All Stars Awards in hurling since the first awards in 1971. As an insight to the prominent players of the 1960s, it also includes the unofficial "Cuchulainn" awards presented from 1963 to 1967 under the auspices of ''Gaelic Weekly'' magazine. Since 1971, the All Ordinaries Awards in hurling have been presented annually to a set of fifteen hurlers from that year's All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, who are seen to be deserving of being named in a "Team of the Year". Limerick Junior Hurling Championship
The Limerick Junior Hurling Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association competition organised by Limerick GAA among the top hurling clubs in County Limerick. The winner qualifies to represent the county in the Munster Junior Club Hurling Championship, the winner of which progresses to the All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship. Apart from a few years when there was an Intermediate hurling Championship the Junior Hurling championship was the second most important hurling competition in Limerick.
