2011 Liga De Fútbol Profesional Boliviano Season
The 2011 Liga de Fútbol Profesional Boliviano season (official known as the 2011 Campeonato ENTEL Fundadores de la LFPB for sponsorship reasons) was the 35th season of LFPB. Originally comprising two tournaments, the 2011 season was the first single-stage season since 2005. This was to change the calendar to European calendar like Argentina, Venezuela and Uruguay. The 2011 fixtures were released on January 7, 2011. The season began on January 15 ended on June 22. There was no relegation. Oriente Petrolero was the defending champion. Teams The number of teams for 2011 remains the same. Jorge Wilstermann finished last in the 2010 relegation table and was relegated to the Bolivian Football Regional Leagues for the first time since the club was founded. They were replaced by the 2010 Copa Simón Bolívar champion Nacional Potosí, who last played in the LFPB in 2009. The Strongest
Club The Strongest is a Bolivian professional football club based in La Paz, that currently plays in the Bolivian Primera División. Founded in 1908, their team colours are yellow and black. Although they have a home ground, Estadio Rafael Mendoza, (capacity: 15,000), they play most of their games at the Estadio Hernando Siles, Bolivia's national ground (capacity: 42,000). The club is the oldest active football club in Bolivia and the only team to have played continuously in the country's top division for longer than a century. Estadio Hernando Siles is a multi-purpose stadium in La Paz, Bolivia. It is the country's largest stadium, with a capacity of 41,143 seats. It is named after Hernando Siles Reyes, the 31st President of Bolivia (1926–1930). Estadio Ramón "Tahuichi" Aguilera Costas is a multi-purpose stadium in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Julio Alberto Zamora Ureña (born 11 March 1966 in Rosario, Argentina) is an Argentine football manager and former player, who played as a forward or midfielder. As a footballer he played for the Argentina national team and a number of clubs in Argentina, Spain, Mexico and Bolivia. Zamora started his career in 1985 with Newell's Old Boys. He also played for River Plate and Sevilla in the 1980s. In 1990 Zamora returned to Newell's where he was part of the squad that won the 1990-91 and Clausura 1992 championships.
