2011 Ice Challenge
The 2011 Ice Challenge was an international figure skating competition during the 2011–2012 season. An annual event, it was organized by the Austrian Figure Skating Association and sanctioned by the International Skating Union. Figure skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies singles, pair skating, and ice dancing, with senior, junior, and novice levels. Short Program (figure Skating)
The short program of figure skating is the first of two segments of competitions, skated before the free skating program. It lasts, for both senior and junior singles and pair skaters, 2 minutes and 40 seconds. In synchronized skating, for both juniors and seniors, the short program lasts 2 minutes and 50 seconds. Vocal music with lyrics is allowed for all disciplines since the 2014-2015 season. The short program for single skaters and for pair skaters consists of seven required elements, and there are six required elements for synchronized skaters. Aaron Van Cleave
Aaron Van Cleave (born 14 March 1987) is a German pair skater. He is best known for his partnership with Mari Vartmann for Germany. They won the 2015 German national title, the 2011 NRW Trophy, and 2010 Warsaw Cup. After they parted ways, he teamed up with Tatiana Domracheva. Personal life Van Cleave was born on 14 March 1987 in Comox, British Columbia, Canada. He was born both a Canadian and American citizen. He became a German citizen in January 2014. Career In North America Van Cleave first competed with Lauren Cowley at the Canadian Junior Championships, appearing on the juvenile level in 2002 and pre-novice in 2003. Mari Vartmann
Mari-Doris Vartmann (born 25 December 1988) is a German pair skater. With Ruben Blommaert, she won four ISU Challenger Series medals. With Aaron Van Cleave, she is the 2015 German national champion, the 2011 NRW Trophy champion, and 2010 Warsaw Cup champion. Personal life Vartmann was born on 25 December 1988 in Neuss, West Germany. She is of German and Japanese descent. Fleur Maxwell
Fleur Maxwell (born 5 August 1988) is a Luxembourgian former figure skater. She has won nine senior international medals. She reached the free skate at the 2006 Winter Olympics and at six ISU Championships, achieving her highest result, 14th, at the 2005 European Championships. Career Maxwell started skating at the age of nine. She debuted on the junior international level in the 2002–03 season. Ranked 32nd at the 2003 World Junior Championships, she placed 18th the following year in The Hague, Netherlands. Kerstin Frank (born 23 October 1988) is an Austrian former competitive figure skater. She is a six-time national champion and represented Austria at the 2014 Winter Olympics. She has won eleven international medals and reached the free skate at nine ISU Championships. Personal life Kerstin Frank was born on 23 October 1988 in Vienna, Austria. She studied biology at the University of Vienna and serves in a work and sports program in the Austrian army. Natalia Ihorivna Popova ( uk, Наталія Ігорівна Попова; born September 15, 1993) is a Ukrainian former competitive figure skater. She is a five-time Ukrainian national champion (2010, 2012–2015) and won five senior international medals. Kim Lucine (born 16 September 1988) is a French figure skater who skates internationally for Monaco. He is the 2010 Ondrej Nepela Memorial silver medalist and 2013 Nordic bronze medalist. Career Lucine represented France intentionally at the novice and junior level. Following a knee injury, he began competing for Monaco in the 2010-2011 season. Ivan Righini, previously Ivan Vadimovich Bariev (russian: Иван Вадимович Бариев, born 16 April 1991) is a retired Italian competitive figure skater and current chorographer. He is a two-time Bavarian Open champion and a four-time Italian national champion. He has reached the free skate at four ISU Championships, achieving his best result, sixth, at the 2016 Europeans.
