2011 FIA WTCC Race Of UK
The 2011 FIA WTCC Race of UK was the seventh round of the 2011 World Touring Car Championship season and the seventh running of the FIA WTCC Race of UK. It was held on 17 July 2011 at the Donington Park circuit in Leicestershire, England. Both races were won by Chevrolet RML driver Yvan Muller. Franz Engstler finished on the podium in the WTCC for the first time in race two when he finished third. Background Coming to the Race of UK, local driver Robert Huff was leading the drivers' championship ahead of Muller. Norbert Michelisz was leading the Yokohama Independents' Trophy. Aleksei Dudukalo became the final SEAT driver to switch to the new 1.6 turbo engine in his Lukoil-SUNRED car. Proteam Racing
Proteam Motorsport is an Italian auto racing team based in Arezzo that was set up by former driver Valmiro Presenzini in 1997. They are best known for their efforts in the FIA World Touring Car Championship. Their time in the WTCC has seen them become the most successful independent team in the championship, winning three Independent Team titles in 1996, 2007 and 2008. The 2011 FIA WTCC Race of Portugal was the sixth round of the 2011 World Touring Car Championship season and the fifth running of the FIA WTCC Race of Portugal. It was held on 3 July 2011 at the Circuito da Boavista street circuit in Porto, Portugal. Both races were won by Chevrolet RML with Alain Menu winning race one and Robert Huff winning race two. Frédéric Nicolas "Fredy" Barth (born 5 December 1979 in Lucerne) is an auto racing driver from Switzerland. He currently drives in the World Touring Car Championship. Javier Villa García (born 5 October 1987) is a Spanish racing driver living in Arriondas, Asturias, Spain. He drove in the GP2 Series from 2006 towards 2009.
