The 2011 Denver Outlaws season was the sixth season for the team. Attempting to improve from their 8-4 record and avenge their loss in the semifinal in the previous season, the Outlaws finished with a 7-5 record and returned to the playoffs for the sixth consecutive year but would lose in the semifinal against the Hamilton Nationals by the score of 11-9. Major League Lacrosse
Major League Lacrosse (MLL) was a men's field lacrosse league in the United States. The league's inaugural season was in 2001. Teams played anywhere from ten to 16 games in a summertime regular season. This was followed by a four-team playoff for the championship trophy, the Steinfeld Trophy, named after founder Jake Steinfeld. League attendance peaked at 6,417 in 2011 and the 2019 average was 4,587. The Chesapeake Bayhawks and New York Lizards (originally the Baltimore Bayhawks and Long Island Lizards) were MLL members throughout its existence and competed in the first three championship games, with the Lizards winning two. Grant Catalino
Grant Catalino is an American lacrosse player from Webster, New York. He is an attackman for the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse. He played college lacrosse for the University of Maryland Terrapins. Catalino grew up in Webster, a suburb of Rochester, where he was a team captain for the Webster Schroeder High School Warriors for two years. In his senior year, the ''Democrat and Chronicle'' made him the first-ever All-Greater Rochester Player of the Year for boys' lacrosse. At Maryland, where he majored in personal finance, he was a three-time All-American. He finished his college career with 119 goals (good for seventh all-time at Maryland) and 66 assists for 185 points (good for tenth all-time).
