2011 British Indoor Athletics Championships
The 2011 British Indoor Athletics Championships was the 5th edition of the national championship in indoor track and field for the United Kingdom. It was held from 12–13 February 2011 at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield The English Institute of Sport is a multi-sport facility in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. Richard Buck
Richard Thomas Buck (born 14 November 1986 in Grimsby, Lincolnshire) is a former British sprinter who specialised in the 400 metres event. He is from York, and trains in Loughborough. Buck's current club is City of York A.C. (formerly Nestlé York A.C). Previously, he had an 18-month spell at Scarborough A.C. He has been trained by his grandfather, Geoff Barraclough, and is now coached by Nick Dakin. Career After competing in basketball and high jump at Lady Lumley's School, Pickering, Buck took up sprinting at the age of 15. He quickly took to the sport, and was the fastest 400 m sprinter in his age group after two years. Thomas ("Tom") Martin Parsons (born 5 May 1984 in Birmingham, United Kingdom) is a British athlete competing in high jump. Parsons finished 20th in the 2003 European Juniors, 17th in the 2005 European U23 championships, 10th in the 2005 World University Games, 11th at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and 10th in the World Championships at Osaka. Parsons represented Great Britain at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the high jump where he finished 8th with a jump of 2.25. Sir Charles Lawrence Somerset Clarke, 7th Baronet, OLY (born 12 March 1990) is a former professional 110 m hurdler who finished fourth in the London Olympic Games 110 m hurdles final. He is the son of Sir Toby Clarke, 6th Baronet and succeeded to the baronetcy on his father's death in 2019. Gianni Frankis (born 16 April 1988) is a British-born Italian athlete specialising in the sprint hurdles. He represented Great Britain at the 2009 World Championships without advancing from the first round. In addition, he won several medals at age-group competitions. Ross Murray (born 8 October 1990) is an English middle distance runner. He competed in the 1500 metres at the 2012 Summer Olympics. In July 2012, Murray ran the mile at the London Grand Prix, placing second with a time of 3:52.77. In the preliminaries of the 1500m at the Olympics, Murray ran a 3:36.74 to finish fourth in his heat and qualify for the semi-finals. Andrew James Baddeley (born 20 June 1982) on The Wirral, Merseyside is an English middle-distance runner. Career He finished sixth in the 1500 metres final at the 2006 European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg. He also competed at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, and has a silver medal from the 2005 Summer Universiade. Guy Learmonth (born 20 April 1992 in Berwick-upon-Tweed) is a Scottish and Great British athlete specialising in the 800 metres. His PB currently stands as 1:44.73 and he is the 3rd fastest Scottish 800m athlete of all time.
