The 2010–11 Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1(''Tunisian Professional League'') season was the 85th season of top-tier football in Tunisia. The competition began on 24 July 2010, and will conclude on 8 May 2011. The defending champions from the previous season are Espérance Sportive de Tunis. No teams were relegated as Ligue 1 was to be extended to 16 teams starting from the 2011–12 season. The Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 (; ar, الرابطة المحترفة الأولى لكرة القدم) was previously called the Tunisian National Championship between 1956 and 1994. is the top division football tournament in Tunisia under the organization of the Tunisian Football Federation. The first edition was held during the French protectorate of Tunisia, the 1907 season, under the auspices of the Federation of Union des Sociétés Françaises de Sports Athlétiques, and it was played in a knockout system, and the first official match in the history of the tournament was played on 9 June 1907. Stade El Menzah is a multi-purpose stadium, located in the north of Tunis, Tunisia. History Stade Vélodrome is the historical stadium that preceded Stade El Menzah. It was built in 1927 in the same location and became the stadium of US Tunis and Italia de Tunis. It had a capacity of 5,000 spectators. Union Sportive Monastirienne ( ar, الاتحاد الرياضي المنستيري), also known as USM, is a football club from Monastir in Tunisia. Founded in 1923 under the name ''Ruspina Sports'', it was renamed Union Sportive Monastirienne in 1942.
