2010–11 Primera Divisió
The 2010–11 Primera Divisió was the sixteenth season of top-tier football in Andorra. It began on 19 September 2010 and ended on 20 March 2011. FC Santa Coloma were the defending champions, having won their fifth Andorran championship last season. Stadia and locations Competition format The participating teams first played a conventional round-robin schedule with every team playing each opponent once "home" and once "away" (in actuality, the designation of home and away was purely arbitrary as the clubs did not have their own grounds) for a total of 14 games. The league was then split up in two groups of four teams with each of them playing teams within their group in a home-and-away cycle of games. The top four teams competed for the championship. Primera Divisió
The Primera Divisió (First Division) or Lliga Multisegur Assegurances for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of men's football in Andorra. The league was launched in 1995 sponsored by the local federation (Andorran Football Federation) which was created just one year before. Until then, clubs had played since 1970 in an amateur league without a structure or affiliation with any official institution. Since affiliation to UEFA and FIFA in 1996, Andorran clubs are able to compete in the UEFA competitions. Until 2015 the league was known as ''Lliga Grup Becier'' and during 2016 ''Lliga Grup Sant Eloi''. It was renamed in 2017 as Lliga Multisegur Assegurances for sponsorship reasons. 2011 Copa Constitució
The 2011 Copa Constitució was the nineteenth season of Andorra's football knockout tournament. The competition will begin on 16 January 2011 with the matches of the first elimination round and ended on 22 May 2011 with the Final. UE Sant Julià were the defending champions. The winners will earn a place in the second qualifying round of the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League. The 2011–12 UEFA Champions League was the 57th season of Europe's premier club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 20th season in its current Champions League format. Relegation Round
In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. FC Lusitanos, also known as Lusitans, was an Andorran football club from Andorra la Vella which was founded in 1999 and currently play in Segona Divisió. Lusitanos won their first Primera Divisió title in 2011–12 and its second national championship the following season. The club's name, crest and kit reflect its Portuguese identity. The club's final season was the 2019-2020 season in the Segona Divisió. History Futbol Club Lusitanos (''Futbol Club Lusitans'', Portuguese: Futebol Club Lusitanos) was founded in 1999. UE Extremenya is an Andorran football club based in the parish of La Massana. The club currently plays in Segona Divisió. History The club was founded in 1998 as CE Cerni. The club played the 1998–99 Campionat de Lliga, being relegated to the Segona Divisió at the end of the season. They stayed in the Second Division until the coming back in the top flight during the 2002–03 season. The club was relegated after finishing 8th at the end of the regular season. The club suffered another relegation to the Second Division for the 2005–06 season after one year in the top division. Segona Divisió
The Segona Divisió (Second Division), or Lliga UNIDA for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest level of men's football in Andorra. Former FC Santa Coloma reserve team were renamed UE Santa Coloma for 2007–08 (therefore eligible for promotion) and finally gained access to the Primera Divisió after finishing top place. Penya Encarnada d'Andorra are the current holders, having won the 2021–22 title and earning promotion to the Primera Divisió. UE Engordany
Unió Esportiva Engordany is an Andorran football and basketball club based in Escaldes-Engordany. The club football section plays in Primera Divisió. History The club was founded on 2 October 1980 as Unió Esportiva Engordany Futbol Club in the main venue of Engordany by Manuel Puerta Martín, Manuel Varela Valés and Josep Rodríguez Sànchez. On 28 January 1981 the club was established and was later renamed simply as UE Engordany. In 2001 the club was affiliated in the FAF and began competing in the Segona Divisió, being promoted to Primera Divisió in 2003. However the club was relegated the following year after one season playing in the Andorran top league. In the 2006–07 season they finished 3rd in the Andorran 2nd division.
