UE Extremenya is an Andorran football club based in the parish of La Massana. The club currently plays in Segona Divisió. History The club was founded in 1998 as CE Cerni. Primera Divisió
The Primera Divisió (First Division) or Lliga Multisegur Assegurances for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of men's football in Andorra. The league was launched in 1995 sponsored by the local federation (Andorran Football Federation) which was created just one year before. Until then, clubs had played since 1970 in an amateur league without a structure or affiliation with any official institution. Since affiliation to UEFA and FIFA in 1996, Andorran clubs are able to compete in the UEFA competitions. Until 2015 the league was known as ''Lliga Grup Becier'' and during 2016 ''Lliga Grup Sant Eloi''. It was renamed in 2017 as Lliga Multisegur Assegurances for sponsorship reasons. Segona Divisió
The Segona Divisió (Second Division), or Lliga UNIDA for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest level of men's football in Andorra. Former FC Santa Coloma reserve team were renamed UE Santa Coloma for 2007–08 (therefore eligible for promotion) and finally gained access to the Primera Divisió after finishing top place. Penya Encarnada d'Andorra are the current holders, having won the 2021–22 title and earning promotion to the Primera Divisió. La Massana
La Massana (; originally ''La Maçana'') is one of the seven parishes of Andorra, parishes of the Principality of Andorra. It is located in the northwest of the country. La Massana is also the name of the main town of the parish. The name Massana derives from the Latin name ''mattianam'' for a variety of apple. Other settlements in the parish are Pal, Andorra, Pal, Arinsal, Erts, Sispony, Anyós, L'Aldosa de la Massana, Puiol del Pui, Escàs, Els Plans, Mas de Ribafeta, Xixerella and Pui. Club Esportiu Principat was an Andorran football club created in 1989, based in the city of Andorra la Vella. Was one of the most successful football clubs in Andorra along with FC Santa Coloma and UE Sant Julià, having won three times the Andorran Premier League and five times the Andorran Cup. The club was dissolved in 2015. History The club was founded in 1989 by ''Penya Madridista Restaurant Charlie's'' ( Real Madrid Supporters' Club of Charlie's Restaurant) as Club Esportiu Principat. FC Lusitanos, also known as Lusitans, was an Andorran football club from Andorra la Vella which was founded in 1999 and currently play in Segona Divisió. Lusitanos won their first Primera Divisió title in 2011–12 and its second national championship the following season. The club's name, crest and kit reflect its Portuguese identity. FC Encamp is an Andorran football club based in Encamp. Founded in 1950, it is the oldest football club of the Andorran First Division. The club currently plays in Primera Divisió. History FC Encamp was founded in 1950 being the dean of the Andorran premier league and the second football club created in the pyrenean country of Andorra after FC Andorra (founded in 1942). Successfully the team won the Primera Divisió in the 1995–96 season, and five years later their second league title (2001–02) qualifying for the UEFA Cup. Next season they ended the regular league in the 2nd position being able to play in the UEFA Intertoto Cup. Inter Club d'Escaldes is an Andorran football club based in Escaldes-Engordany. The club currently plays in Primera Divisió. History Inter Club d'Escaldes was founded in Escaldes-Engordany in 1991 and being founder member of Primera Divisió in 1995, the Premier League of Andorra. The club was playing since then in the top flight until April 2015 when the team was relegated after finishing 8th in the regular league. Extremadura
