2010–11 Honduran Liga Nacional
The 2010–11 season in Honduran Liga Nacional was divided into two tournaments (Apertura and Clausura) and determined the 57th and 58th champions in the history of the league. It also provided two berths for the 2011–12 CONCACAF Champions League. The league had a reserve tournament for the first time in history with players between 15 and 20 years old. 2010–11 teams * ''C.D. Liga Nacional De Fútbol Profesional De Honduras
Liga Betcris de Honduras (''Honduran National Professional Football League'') is the highest division of football in Honduras. The league season is divided into Opening (autumn) and Closing (spring). One team is relegated to the Liga de Ascenso (the team with fewest points in Opening and Closing) and one team is promoted from Liga de Ascenso. The top four clubs participate in play-offs to decide the champion. The winners of the Opening and Closing competitions participate in the CONCACAF Champions League. Alfredo Antonio Mejía Escobar (born 3 April 1990) is a Honduran professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Greek Super League club Levadiakos, whom he captains, and the Honduras national team. Mario Nicasio Zanabria (born 1 October 1948 in Santa Fe) is an Argentine former football player, who played as a midfielder, and the current coach of Real España. Club career A playmaker, Zanabria made his début in the first division in 1967 with Unión de Santa Fe, where he played until 1969. Danilo Elvis Turcios Funez (born 8 May 1978 in Sonaguera, Honduras) is a Honduran former professional football player and current manager of Juticalpa F.C. in the Honduran second division. Carlos Alberto "Piscis" Restrepo Isaza (born 5 March 1961) is a Colombian football coach, currently in charge of Jaguares de Córdoba. Career Never having the opportunity of playing the sport professionally because of an injury, he began his coaching career at his early 20s.
