2010–11 Akron Zips Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–11 Akron Zips men's basketball team represented the University of Akron during the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Zips, led by seventh year head coach Keith Dambrot, played their home games at the James A. Rhodes Arena as members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference(MAC). They finished the season 23–13, 9–7 in MAC play to finish in fourth place in the East Division. They won the MAC tournament after defeating Kent State in overtime in the championship game. They received an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as a fifteen seed in the southeast regional where they lost in the first round to the #2 seeded Notre Dame. Keith Dambrot
Keith Brett Dambrot (born October 26, 1958) is an American college basketball coach and the current men's basketball head coach of Duquesne University. During his high school head coaching career, he coached future NBA star LeBron James for two years. During 13 seasons of head coaching at the University of Akron, he had a regular game season 305–139 record and was the winningest coach in the program's history. He is a three-time Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year. In 2010, he was elected into the Summit County Sports Hall of Fame, and in 2013 he won the Red Auerbach Coach of the Year Award as the country's top Jewish college basketball coach. The 2010–11 Cleveland State Vikings men's basketball team represented Cleveland State University in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was Gary Waters. The Vikings played their home games at the Wolstein Center and are members of the Horizon League. It was the 80th season of Cleveland State basketball. The 2010–11 Bethune–Cookman Wildcats men's basketball team represented Bethune–Cookman University in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wildcats, led by head coach Clifford Reed, played their home games at Moore Gymnasium and the Ocean Center, both in Daytona Beach, Florida, as members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Williams Arena
Williams Arena is an indoor arena located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is the home arena for the University of Minnesota's men's and women's basketball teams. It also housed the men's hockey team until 1993, when it moved into its own building, 3M Arena at Mariucci. The building is known as "The Barn", and its student section is known as "The Barnyard". The 2010–11 Temple Owls men's basketball team (the Owls) represented Temple University in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team played their home games at the Liacouras Center, which has a capacity of 10,206. The Owls were in their 29th season as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference.
