2010 North West 200 Races
The 2010 North West 200 Races, the 71st running of the event, was held on Saturday 15 May 2010 at the circuit, dubbed "The Triangle", based around the towns of Portstewart, Coleraine and Portrush, in Northern Ireland. The first Superbike race was won by John McGuinness (motorcycle racer), John McGuinness followed by Alastair Seeley winning the first 600cc Supersport race. First-time winners at the North West 200 were Paul Robinson in the 125cc race and Keith Amor in the 1000cc Superstock Race. Amor's victory was also the first win for BMW and the first non-Japanese manufacturer to claim a victory since 1997. The Blue Riband event, the North West 200 Superbike Race, produced a second win of the meeting for Alastair Seeley and the first local winner of the race since Phillip McCallen in 1997 . North West 200
The International North West 200 is a Northern Irish motorsport event established in 1929 for road racing motorcycles held on a street circuit known as ''the Triangle'' between the towns of Portstewart, Coleraine and Portrush in Causeway Coast and Glens. The course is one of the fastest in the world, with average speeds of and top speeds in excess of . The International North West 200 is one of around fifteen events run on public roads between April and October throughout Northern Ireland. It is the largest annual sporting event in Northern Ireland, with the race weekend attracting over 150,000 visitors from all over the world. William Dunlop (motorcycle Racer)
William Dunlop (23 July 1985 – 7 July 2018) was a professional motorcycle racer from Northern Ireland who died as a result of a racing incident. Part of a motorcycle racing dynasty, William was the elder brother of Michael Dunlop, Michael; both were sons of the late Robert Dunlop, and nephews of the late Joey Dunlop. Ian Lougher
Ian Lougher (born 10 July 1963) is a Welsh motorcycle racer, noted for 8 victories in the North West 200, 10 wins at the Isle of Man TT Races and 32 wins at the Southern 100 Races in his career. Racing career Born in Cardiff, Lougher competed in club motor-cycle events in South Wales from 1982 until 1989. Lougher's first race was at Llandow on a Yamaha RD400, and his first race win was in 1983 at Pembrey. Gary Earl Johnson (born January 1, 1953) is an American businessman, author, and politician who served as the 29th governor of New Mexico from 1995 to 2003 as a member of the Republican Party. Adrian Archibald
Adrian James Archibald (born 1969) is a motorcycle racer from Northern Ireland. Archibald, who was born in Ballymoney, has three career wins in the Isle of Man TT, including two races in 2003 riding for TAS Suzuki. The 2003 races were overshadowed by the death of Archibald's team-mate, David Jefferies.
