The 2010 China Masters Super Series was a top level badminton competition which was held from September 14, 2010 to September 19, 2010 in Changzhou, China. It was the seventh BWF Super Series competition on the 2010 BWF Super Series schedule. The total purse for the event was $250,000. Hong Ji-hoon
Hong Ji-hoon (Hangul: 홍지훈), born 27 October 1988) is a South Korean badminton player. Career In 2006, he won a gold medal at the BWF World Junior Championships in the boys' singles event. He defeated Tommy Sugiarto of Indonesia with the score 21–13, 10–21, and 21–16. He became a semi-finalist of the Vietnam Open tournament in the men's doubles event. He and partner Choi Ho-jin were defeated by their teammates Yoo Yeon-seong and Jeon Jun-bum with the score 21–16, 21–19. He also became the runner-up of the Mongolian Satellite tournament in men's singles. In 2007, he won his first senior title at the Indonesia International Challenge tournament in men's singles. Derek Wong
Derek Wong (born Wong Zi Liang, traditional Chinese: 黃梓良, 13 January 1989) is a retired Singaporean badminton player. Wong is a two-time Olympian, who took part at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics, where he was flag bearer in the latter's Parade of Nations. Early life Wong was born on 13 January 1989, in Singapore, to parents Wong Shoon Keat and Irene Lee. He grew up in a badminton-loving family with three other brothers (Shawn, Jamie and Jason). Both his parents are former national champions and they own a badminton shop at the old Singapore Badminton Hall. Wong started playing badminton, at age 5 when his father took him to the hall to play badminton for the first time. Since then, he would do his school homework at the shop before playing badminton with some friendly uncles in the hall till his parents closed the shop for the day. Lee Hyun-il
Lee Hyun-il ( ko, 이현일; born 17 April 1980) is a former badminton player from South Korea. He is a former World and Asian Championships bronze medalist, and was part of South Korean team that won the 2003 Sudirman Cup as well the gold medals at the 2002 and 2014 Asian Games. Career 2002 Asian Games Lee competed in the 2002 Asian Games where he showed signs of promise as an ace singles player for team Korea. In the men's team event, Lee dominated the opponents he faced in the tourney, completing all three matches less than 30 minutes and allowing only seven points in the semifinals and eight in the final. Brice Leverdez
Brice Leverdez (born 9 April 1986) is a French badminton player. He was a champion at the 2013 Mediterranean Games, won a silver medal at the 2015 European Games, and a bronze medal at the 2018 European Championships. Career Leverdez started playing badminton at aged 12, and continued after that at the club, then in 2008, he joined France national badminton team. In 2005, he won bronze medal at the European Junior Badminton Championships in boys' doubles event partnered with Matthieu Lo Ying Ping. Hsieh Yu-hsing (; born July 23, 1983) is a men's singles and mixed doubles international badminton player from Chinese Taipei (Taiwan). Hsieh started to play badminton international championships since 2002. At the moment, Hsieh had become the men's singles No.1 international player in Taiwan, but he always being drawn to face more stronger players in the overseas countries tournament. Hu Yun (; born 31 August 1981) is a retired badminton player representing Hong Kong since 2006. He competed at the 2010 and 2014 Asian Games, and also 2016 Rio Olympics. Born in Wuhan, Hubei, China, Hu started playing badminton in 1988, and participated in local province badminton teams at an early age. Dicky Palyama
Dicky Palyama (born March 26, 1978 in Gouda) is a male badminton player from the Netherlands. Early career After winning four junior titles in the Netherlands between 1994 and 1996, Dicky took the European junior U19 title in 1997. His first success as a professional came in 1998, when he took the Welsh Open International title. In 2000 he took his first National Dutch Championship; he has since won a record nine individual singles Dutch Championship titles.
