2010 Canadian Championship
The 2010 Canadian Championship (officially the Nutrilite Canadian Championship for sponsorship reasons) was a soccer tournament hosted and organized by the Canadian Soccer Association that took place in the cities of Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver in 2010. The tournament has been held annually since 2008. As in previous tournaments, participating teams included the Montreal Impact, Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The tournament consisted of home and away series between each pair of teams for a total of six games. Toronto FC won the tournament, claiming the Voyageurs Cup and Canada's entry into the Preliminary Round of the 2010–11 CONCACAF Champions League. All six matches were broadcast in English by Rogers Sportsnet. Toronto FC
Toronto Football Club (commonly known as Toronto FC or TFC) is a Canadian professional soccer club based in Toronto. The club competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Eastern Conference. Sam Cronin
Sam Cronin (born December 12, 1986) is an American former soccer player who played as a midfielder. Club career College and amateur Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Cronin attended Mount Tabor High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where he moved with his family in 1999. He played college soccer at Wake Forest University, scoring ten goals in twenty-four appearances in 2008, and was one of three finalists for the Hermann Trophy, an award for the best Division I college soccer player. Cronin ultimately finished as second runner-up for the trophy, but won the 2008 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award for Men's Soccer. Adrian Cann
Adrian Cann (born September 19, 1980) is a Canadian soccer player who plays as a defender for Canadian Soccer League club Serbian White Eagles FC. Career College Cann had a college soccer career at the University of Louisville from 2000 to 2003. Cann immediately earned a place in the Cardinals' starting lineup as a freshman, starting 20 games for the team, and was named to first-team All-Conference USA. Nick Garcia (born April 9, 1979 in Plano, Texas) is an American former soccer player. Stefan Frei (born 20 April 1986) is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Seattle Sounders FC. Born in Switzerland, Frei moved with his family to the United States as a teenager. Chad Randall Barrett (born April 30, 1985) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a forward. Career College Born in San Diego, Barrett played two seasons of college soccer at UCLA and led the team in assists his second year. Robert Tyrel "Ty" Harden (born March 6, 1984) is an American soccer player who last played for Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer. Career Collegiate Harden was a regular for four years at the University of Washington, playing every match of his first two seasons before a minor injury in his junior year.
