The Amarillo Venom season was the team's seventh season as a professional indoor football franchise and first in the Indoor Football League (IFL). One of twenty-five teams competing in the IFL for the 2010 season, the Amarillo, Texas-based West Texas Roughnecks were members of the Lonestar West Division of the Intense Conference. With the af2 breaking up and its larger market teams moving to Arena Football 1, the Dusters were forced to find a new league. Amarillo Civic Center
The Amarillo Civic Center is a multi-purpose convention center in Amarillo, Texas. It consists of multiple facilities including: * A 2,848-seat auditorium with 2,324 permanent seats used for concerts, Broadway shows and other events. * The Cal Farley Coliseum, a 4,987-seat multi-purpose arena serving as home to the Amarillo Wranglers of the North American Hockey League and the Amarillo Venom of Champions Indoor Football. Luedecke Arena
The Luedecke Arena is a 6,400-seat multi-purpose arena on the grounds of the Travis County, Texas, Travis County Exposition Center in Austin, Texas. Built in 1983, the arena is home to the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo, the Republic of Texas Biker Rally and the Austin Power indoor soccer team. The arena was formerly home to the Austin Ice Bats ice hockey team from 1996 to 2006. It was also home to four Indoor American football, indoor football teams: the Texas Terminators of the Indoor Professional Football League, IPFL in 1999, the Austin Knights/Rockers in 2002 and 2003, the Austin Turfcats in 2009 and 2010, and the Austin Wild in 2018 and 2019. 2010 Indoor Football League Season
The 2010 Indoor Football League season was the second season of the Indoor Football League (IFL). The regular season began on Friday, February 26 and ended on Saturday, June 19. In March, the Indoor Football League took control of the Alaska Wild and intended to operate the team until a new owner was found or the season ended. In May, after nine games and no new ownership identified, the team forfeited its remaining home games, played its final road game against Tri-Cities under league auspices, and then ceased operations. DonTrell Moore
DonTrell Jamar Moore (born September 25, 1982) is a former American football running back who last played for the New Mexico Stars of the Indoor Football League (IFL). An undrafted free agent in the 2006 NFL Draft, Moore eventually signed with the New York Jets in 2006. Moore played college football at the University of New Mexico. Moore was featured in the documentary "Two Days in April", an in depth look into player preparation for the NFL draft. Before his successful college career, Moore went to Roswell High School, where he was coached by Coach Jack Cisco and won the state championship in 2000. The Taylor County Expo Center, formerly Taylor County Coliseum, is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Abilene, Texas. It was built in 1973. 2010 Arkansas Diamonds Season
The 2010 Arkansas Diamonds season was the franchise's eleventh season as a football franchise, first in the Indoor Football League, and only season as the "Arkansas Diamonds". The team, led by head coach Danton Barto, played their home games at the Verizon Arena in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The Diamonds finished the regular season with an 11-3 record (6-1 in division play) and first place in the 2010 Lonestar East Division. The team's playoff run ended with a loss to the Billings Outlaws in the Intense Conference Finals. For the 2011 season, the team relocated to Texas as the Allen Wranglers.
