2009–10 Slovak Superliga
The 2009–10 Slovak Superliga season of the Slovak Superliga, also known as ''Corgoň Liga'' due to sponsorship reasons, was the 17th edition of the league since its establishment. It began on 10 July 2009 and ended on 15 May 2010. Slovan Bratislava were the 2008–09 defending champions. Team changes from 2008–09 ViOn Zlaté Moravce were relegated after finishing the 2008–09 season in 12th and last place. They were replaced by 2008–09 1. Liga champions Inter Bratislava. Slovak Superliga
The Slovak First Football League (), officially known as Niké liga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Slovakia and the highest level of the Slovak football league system. It was formed in 1993 following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. The record for most titles is fifteen, held by Slovan Bratislava, who are the current title holders. FK Senica
FK Senica () is a Slovakia, Slovak football (soccer), football team, based in the town of Senica. The club was founded in 1921. History FK Senica was founded in 1921. Dunajská Streda (; ; ) is a town located in southern Slovakia ( Trnavský kraj). Dunajská Streda is the most culturally significant town in the Žitný ostrov area. The town has a population of 22,730, with ethnic Hungarians forming the 72% majority. Name The name of ''Syridahel'' was first mentioned in 1256. Other early written forms of the name were ''Zeredahely'' (1270) and ''Zredahel'' (1358). Szerdahely means "Wednesday (market)place" in Hungarian and it indicates the town had the privilege to hold a market on Wednesdays (although it was later changed to Fridays). MFK Ružomberok
MFK Ružomberok () is a Slovak professional football club playing in the city of Ružomberok. History Established in 1906, the club's colours have been traditionally white, yellow and red, which are also featured on the town's flag. However, the sponsor Mondi Business Paper SCP introduced new colours in 2005: orange, black and white. In 1993 the club gained promotion to the Slovak Second Division for the first time and a second promotion to the Corgoň Liga in 1997. The club's trophy cabinet stayed empty until their centenary year, when in 2006 they lifted both the Corgoň Liga title and the Slovak Cup with the help of 21 goals from the league's joint top scorer Erik Jendrišek.
