2009 WPS Bathurst 12 Hour
The 2009 WPS Bathurst 12 Hour was an endurance race for Group 3E Series Production Cars. It was the seventh running of the Bathurst 12 Hour, and the third since the races 2007 revival. The race was won by defending champions, Rod Salmon's TMR Australia car driven by Salmon, Damien White and new team member, Tony Longhurst in an upgraded Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Leanne Ferrier (sometimes known as Leanne Tander, born 5 June 1980 in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian race car driver having raced cars such as Formula Ford, Formula 3 and in the Supercars Championship. Honda K Engine
The Honda K-series engine is a line of four-cylinder four-stroke car engine introduced in 2001. The K-series engines are equipped with DOHC valvetrains and use roller rockers on the cylinder head to reduce friction. The engines use a coil-on-plug, distributorless ignition system with a coil for each spark plug. This system forgoes the use of a conventional distributor-based ignition timing system in favor of a computer-controlled system that allows the ECU to control ignition timings based on various sensor inputs. The cylinders have cast iron sleeves similar to the B- and F-series engines, as opposed to the FRM cylinders found in the H- and newer F-series engines found only in the Honda S2000. Garth Walden
Garth Walden is best known as a race driver in his native Australia. He is the son of well-known Sydney race specialist Brian Walden. Walden Motorsport is a specialist race car preparation outfit in Western Sydney owned by Brian Walden. History Running in Production Car and Improved Production Car events, it entered the 1997 ARDC AMSCAR series and Bathurst 1000 with an ex Terry Finnigan Holden Commodore (VP). In 2004, the team debuted in the main V8 Supercar series at round 6 with Brian's son Garth driving an ex Glenn Seton Racing Ford Falcon (AU) using a franchise leased from Romano Racing.
