Svenska Cupen 2009 was the 54th season of the main Swedish football Cup. AIK beat IFK Göteborg in the final 2-0 to lift the cup, thereby completing a league and cup double for the 2009 season. The competition started on 14 March 2009 and concluded with the final on November 7, 2009. AIK Fotboll (), more commonly known simply as AIK (), an abbreviation for Allmänna Idrottsklubben (meaning ''the public'' or ''general sports club''), is a Swedish football club competing in Allsvenskan, the top flight of Swedish football. The club was founded 1891 in Stockholm and the football department was formed in 1896. AIK's home ground is Friends Arena, located in Solna, just north of Stockholm City Centre. League champions in 2018, AIK has 12 championship titles and is third in the all-time Allsvenskan table. The club holds the record for having played the most seasons in the Swedish top flight. Linköpings FF
Linköpings FF (locally known as ''LFF'') was the premier men's football team in Linköping, Sweden, playing in the Swedish second division. The club is a 1984 merger of BK Derby and IF Saab. And as both these clubs had a one-season spell each in Allsvenskan during the 1970s (Derby in 1977, Saab in 1973), the new club was initially hopeful for a promotion from their Division 3 position. At this time Division 2 was split up into a Southern and a Northern league, with 14 teams each, but the third division was split up into 12 regional leagues with 12 teams each. IK Östria Lambohov was a Swedish football club located in Linköping in Östergötland County. Background Idrottsklubben Östria Lambohov was founded on 24 January 1937 as Klints IK and in September of the same year changed their name to Bjärka Säby Östra IK. Kvarnsvedens IK
Kvarnsvedens IK is a Swedish football club located in Borlänge in Dalarna County. Background Football was first played in 1907 under the name Kvarnsvedens GOIF and this continued until 1935 when operations were shut down for financial reasons. A new club was started in 1936 called Övermora IS and from 1941 matches were played at Kvarnsvedens IP. The same year the name of the club was changed to Kvarnsvedens BK. However by 1946 the club had closed for financial reasons. IFK Fjärås
IFK Fjärås is a Swedish football club located in Fjärås in Kungsbacka Municipality. Background Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna (IFK) Fjärås was formed in 1932 at Westergård by some lads who wanted to start a football club. The oldest archived annual meeting minutes from the end of the 1930s indicate that the club activities included not only football but also walking, hiking and cross-country training for its members.
