The XV 2009 Pan Am Badminton Championships were held in Guadalajara, Mexico, between October 20 and October 25, 2009. This event was part of the 2009 BWF Grand Prix Gold and Grand Prix series of the Badminton World Federation. Pan Am Badminton Championships
The Pan American Badminton Championships is a tournament organized since 1977 by the Badminton Pan America (BPA) to crown the best badminton players in the Americas. The tournament was held every year from 1977 until 1980, then every two years from 1987 until 2007. It is now organized annually, except once every four years when the Pan American Games multi-sports event is held. Badminton is part of the Badminton at the Pan American Games, Pan American Games since 1995. Since then, 2007 was the only year both events (the Pan American Badminton Championships and the Pan American Games) were held simultaneously in the same year. David Neumann (badminton)
David Neumann is an American choreographer, dancer, and actor. He is known for his magnetic energy and his charismatic performances. He is a 2019 Tony nominated choreographer for Hadestown Early life Born in 1965 in Paris, Neumann grew up in South Brunswick, New Jersey, and graduated from South Brunswick High School in 1983. He was infatuated with movement from a young age and had incredible energy as a child. He describes the particular problems this posed for his parents saying that they devised a “weird bungee cord kind of harness thing, so whenever I got a good burst of speed, I would always return to where I started. I was very, very active as a kid.” Neumann eventually used this energy into dance. He was part of his high school's dance company and experimented with popular dance forms in clubs and informal performance spaces. Kevin Li (badminton)
Kevin Li (born 11 July 1986) is a Canadian badminton player from the Lee's badminton club. In 2013, he won the silver medal at the Pan Am Championships in the men's doubles event partnered with Nyl Yakura, they were defeated by their compatriots Adrian Liu and Derrick Ng in the finals round. In the team event he won the gold medal. Tobias Ng (born 8 October 1985) is a Canadian badminton player. Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Ng's father is from Hong Kong and his mother from Macau. He started playing badminton at the Kensington Community Centre, when he was about six years old. He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the mixed doubles event with partner Grace Gao.
