The 2009 Nordic Golf League was the 11th season of the Nordic Golf League, a third-tier tour recognised by the European Tour. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2009 season. Unofficial events The following events were sanctioned by the Nordic Golf League, but did not carry official money, nor were wins official. Order of Merit The Order of Merit was based on tournament results during the season, calculated using a points-based system. The top five players on the Order of Merit (not otherwise exempt) earned status to play on the 2010 Challenge Tour. Lasse Jensen (golfer)
Lasse Jensen (born 6 September 1984) is a Danish professional golfer who has played on the European Tour. Nordic Golf League In 2009, he won the Order of Merit for the Nordic Golf League. Challenge Tour He has two runner-up finishes on the Challenge Tour at the 2012 and 2014 Barclays Kenya Open. European Tour He qualified for the 2013 European Tour by finishing on the final number at European Tour Qualifying School. For the 2015 European Tour, Jensen finished in 144th place on the Order of Merit, but retained his playing card by way of European Tour Qualifying School. Jensen finished 2nd at the 2016 Nordea Masters. This finish qualified him for the 2016 Open Championship. Jens Dantorp
Jens Morgan Dantorp (born 28 April 1989) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and the Challenge Tour. He has won three times on the Challenge Tour. Professional career Dantorp turned professional in 2008 and played on the Nordic Golf League, winning eight times between 2008 and 2012. He won four tournaments in 2011 and topped the Order of Merit. Dantorp played on the Challenge Tour in 2012 and 2013, picking up his first win in August 2013 at the Rolex Trophy. At the end of 2013 he qualified for the main tour in 2014. 2014 was a disappointing season and he returned to the Challenge Tour in 2015. Dantorp finished runner-up in the 2015 Kärnten Golf Open and finished 24th in the Challenge Tour Order of Merit. SM Match
The Swedish Match Play Championship is a golf tournament played since 1904, held for both men and women. It is the oldest and most traditional golf tournament in Sweden. The name SM is shortening in Swedish language for "Svenska Mästerskapet" (the Swedish Championship). History From the first tournament in 1904 (for men) and 1911 (for women) until 1983, it was an amateur tournament, from 1910 open only for Swedish citizens, and the winner was the official Swedish champion. Since 1984, except 1985, the tournament has been open to both amateurs and professionals and for foreign citizens. Paul Nilbrink (born 2 May 1971) is an English-born former Swedish professional golfer who has also represented Norway since 2005. He played on the Challenge Tour from 1996 to 2008, winning the 1999 Volvo Finnish Open and the 2000 Norwegian Open. Career Nilbrink was born in England and grew up in Belgium and Sweden. He had a late development in golf and had a handicap of 36 by age 12 , and 13 at age 15. He later studied for a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education at the University of Central Florida in the United States. Andreas Hedlund (born 17 September 1973), better known by his stage names Vintersorg and Mr. V, is a Swedish vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who has played in several heavy metal bands. Biography Hedlund's musical career came to be at or around 1991 when he was a member of a short-lived death metal project called "Masticator", which only lasted a single demo in the same year, yet his most notable musical exploit came in 1994 when he and a few other musicians formed "Vargatron" (Swedish for "Wolfthrone"). The original style was meant to be rooted in black metal but using mostly clean vocals and only a few moments of the traditional grim screaming. After a few line-up changes, the group broke up in 1996, but Hedlund still wanted to work with the songs he wrote for Vargatron and decided to record them by himself. Joakim "Jocke" Rask (born 8 January 1972) is a Swedish professional golfer. Rask's father, a scratch golfer, taught him to play as a six-year-old and he represented the Swedish boys' team.
