2009 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship
The 2009 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship was the 100th staging of the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1909. The draw for the opening round fixtures took place on 13 December 2008. The championship began on 2 May 2009 and ended on 13 September 2009. On 13 September 2009, Valley Rovers won the championship after a 1–17 to 1–13 defeat of Kilworth in the final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. This was their second championship title overall and their first title since 1989. Delanys returned to junior status for the first time in 21 years after suffering a five-point defeat by Ballygarvan in a relegation play-off. Kilworth's Adrian Mannix was the championship's top scorer with 2-49. Cork Junior A Hurling Championship
The Cork Junior A Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Co-Op Superstores Cork Junior A Hurling Championship and abbreviated to the Cork JAHC) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Cork County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the top-ranking junior clubs in the county of Cork in Ireland. It is the sixth tier overall in the entire Cork hurling championship system and is regarded as one of the toughest club competitions to win. The Cork Junior Championship was introduced in 1895 as a countywide competition for teams deemed not eligible for the senior grade or second-string senior teams. Blackrock National Hurling Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club located on the southside of Cork City, Ireland. The club was founded in 1883 and is primarily concerned with the game of hurling. No other Cork-based GAA club has won more Senior County Hurling titles or All-Ireland Club Championships. Kilbrittain GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the parish of Kilbrittain, County Cork, Ireland. Kildorrery () is a village in north County Cork, Ireland. It lies at the crossroads of the N73 road from Mallow to Mitchelstown and the R512 from Kilmallock to Fermoy. This hilltop village has views to the east of the Galtee Mountains and Knockmealdown Mountains with Slievenamon in the distance. City Junior A Hurling Championship
The City Junior A Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the BCE Consulting Engineers City Junior A Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Seandún Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1926 for junior-graded hurling teams in Cork, Ireland. The series of games are usually played during the summer months. The championship uses a double elimination format whereby each team is guaranteed at least two games. The City Junior Championship is an integral part of the wider Cork Junior A Hurling Championship. The winners of the City Championship join their counterparts from the other six divisions to contest the county championship. 11 clubs currently participate in the City Championship. Carrigaline GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the town of Carrigaline in County Cork, Ireland. The club fields both Gaelic football and hurling teams in competitions organised by Cork County Board. The club is part of the Carrigdhoun division of Cork.
